Right, I don't like her. I don't like Yamai. I might even go as far as to say I hate her. This girl is INSANE!! The yandere of all yanderes. You just have to see it to believe it. Like she wen't as far as to KIDNAP our precious Tadano who has done nothing but be the bestest friend to Komi. I love him and hence I hate Yamai. Also Komi was such a queen this episode while being adorable too! And that moment between Komi and Tadano ahhhhh! Hope you enjoy!

Yamai is the closest we get for a main antagonist of this series. And yeah, you don't have to worry for not liking her since....her sole purpose in this series is to be hatin'.

Alwo fun fact : in the manga, Yamai was actually holding a *knife* instead of chopsticks, but its understable that the studio needs to calm down Yamai's yandere mode a bit.

This ep went from awful to wholesome in a rollercoaster way. Yamai is the worse, but the way Komi politely rejected her saying "I get to choose my own friends" gosh I loved that answer. Also that talk with Tadano afterwards, I was just as nervous as you, but he nailed it using her own words to keep their friendship. And finally: Komi appologized TALKING to him! Cutest scene ever! I got angry too that Najimi appeared in a bad timing -.-

Yadano Makeru Her name is a play of words on the phrase 負けるやだの (Makeru yada no), meaning "I hate losing." Her special skill is doing facial tricks. Yamai Ren Her name, やまい れん (Yamai Ren), is written with the characters for mountain and well but can also be written as 病 to mean illness, which the word yandere came from. れん (Ren) is an alternate reading of 恋 (koi) ,which means love. You didn't ask for it but I'm still gonna put here😂

You hate Yamai and that's completely okay. I also think that's the whole point of her character, since these characters are supposed to be exaggerated versions of the troupes, like Najimi Osama (the childhood friend). It's even in their names, in which Yamai translates to yandere.
