If your purposely staying homeless just because you can't live at an expensive place that's a dumb move actually if you want to aquire wealth apply at an expensive hotel and have a weekend side gig were you can write your own schedule instead of 19 you will be making 45 an hour between both jobs.

Edit: Not only that, but they also own a lot of land, and that's a very good reason why housing prices are so high. Besides, the ultra rich make decisions on their own, while in politics it is you who vote for them. The ultra rich invest in weapon manufacturing and sometimes in gangs and insurgencies. They also invest in economies that may be hostile to your country, so stop pretending that they're innocent or harmless. It's easy for someone with a lot of money to deal damage. Tracking their money is a very exhausting task which involves a big expense in the first place, so it'd even more difficult to keep them under control. Not only that, but the more money they hoard, the less money there is for governmental projects. Musk is already an oligarch who's got enough resources to start a civil war if he really wanted to. He's already using his propaganda machine to spread dangerous misinformation. Ignore what I said if you're a bot.

Let’s say that your rent is $1k/month. That means that you should gross $3k/month. After taxes, medical, social security/medicare, etc…. Your net pay is probably closer to $2k/month. Add in basic food, utilities, car gas, phone, etc… and lo and behold you can barely afford to pay rent. The government takes its cut before you see a dime. You have to eat, have electricity/gas in your place, car gas to get to and from work, and a phone to communicate. If something gets shorted or not paid it’s rent. Texas and Florida are seeing the highest increase in homelessness… As skyrocketing property taxes continue to force people out of their homes. By the way… California will always have the highest homeless population. It’s called instinctual self preservation, being in a location they will not freeze to death.

It doesn’t have tax control. As a landlord with a high interest mortgage, insurance and increasing values and subsequent tax increases I have to charge high rents. One tenant that can live rent free for 6 months before legal eviction or damage my property takes another house out of the rental pool. Get serious before you comment.

That has been proven to not work. NY? Rent is not the problem. Most can't afford the fees to apply, have bad credit, convictions, substance abuse, or mental illness. There are plenty of places to rent. Most places won't rent to a problem. In my area, the city has built several nice, affordable Apts. the buildings are now messy, crime, and drug infested nightmares. Treatment and work requirements are needed. Enabling is not working. Participate in your success or get nothing.

Addressing homelessness in our country is far from a perfect science. Without government funding, the number of people affected would only increase. Many factors contribute to homelessness, and laziness is not one of them. This is a multifaceted issue that goes beyond political blame and requires a significant investment of both time and resources to create lasting effects.

I'm sure the increase in homeless asylum seekers entering the US hasn't had any impact on that 18% right? California has 187,000 homeless and New York has 150,000. Washing comes in at #3 with 31,000 homeless. Is it a coincidence that the two states with the most illegals and refugees also have 5 times as many homeless as Washington state? Where did they spend that money? Not on homelessness. I live here I know what I see. And the cost of housing is trying to catch up with CA without the CA wages. $2000 for a studio of any worth. And the landlords can just keep raising and raising. No law against it and no improvement to these properties. A bill was brought to the State congress to cap these rents but it didn’t pass. The democratic Mayor and other leaders in this state have defunded the police, and decriminalized everything, so these homeless can be very dangerous. They don’t get arrested, they don’t go to jail. The police in my community are wonderful and there are resources but these homeless don’t follow thru. Especially the addicted homeless, they would rather be homeless and high than follow any rules to get help. If arrested they are handled with kid gloves then set free. There needs to be some really tough love here. It is out of control and dangerous! This used to be a beautiful place to live. There were no “bad” areas. Not anymore. So if we are third who’s first and second? More democratic cities that do nothing? These liberals here, do a lot of virtual signaling then do nothing!

They like to get drunk drivers but drugged citizens on the streets with no income, that are desperate to get the next high likely not legally, the courts seem not to care in a real sense. And for those who think they would never rent to someone who had an eviction on their rental history ...Let us pray that everyone who is educated and hardworking in one's family continues to keep their job and that they're not hit with cancer or some life debilitating crises or circumstance that hinders them from paying their rent. Folks suffer financially when disasters happen. We can also pray to be more compassionate. I'm not talking about a long history of evictions I'm talking about a circumstance that causes sudden homelessness for instance when a landlord goes to renew a lease and they raise the rent $500 and then that person can't keep up and it causes an eviction. There are lots of reasons for evictions and they shouldn't be a life hindrance where someone constantly has a noose around their neck.

The number of homeless individuals is on the rise, as is the number of millionaires.
@baomao72433 күн бұрын
@@MercyOnMySoul It sounds like a person is either going up. Or going down. What do the “going up” people have and do that the “going down” people should imitate? I suspect having high-paying job skills is a really big piece of this so it is key to getting out of the “going down” group. If this is true, it really is two consumer markets - one for well-paid earners and one for low-paid earners. For the low-paid earners, one must find a way to make more money AND cut expenses. Getting job skills will likely take awhile. Maybe the need is to quickly move somewhere way cheap and start in a union where they actually train you as an apprentice. The you slog it out and grind out a skill and experience in that field. As a journeyman, maybe that person can then move somewhere else they prefer.
