WOW!! So there is a undo/redo feature on the KK. I own the maschine studio and it sits next to the KK in my studio but i constantly have to reach all the way over to hit undo every single day countless times. This alone improved my work flow! THANK YOU!

Agreed! However has there always been a undo/redo function on the kk cause i didn't know that. Just always reached over and hit the buttons on the Studio instead. LOL

Matt, love your videos - but do you happen to know if some of the DAW controls you just showed in logic will be available in Cubase or others as well? There are some, yes, but not as advanced as these.

Hello Matt, Great vids, thanks a lot! I'v just dived into KK world with my S88, and wanted to hear few answers from someone who are experienced with it a lot. 1) I saw few guys below already asked about whether those updates are applicable to Ableton? Tried it...looks like not - any thoughts? Undo/Redo from the keyboard is a dream( 2) I am newbie to MIDI at general, so I do not know whether it is possible to map all eight knobs of the keyboard to some parameters of the track (eg volume, pan, sends, arm, solo), and when you are switching/focusing on the different track those mappings working with the same parameters? Is it possible? 3) Maybe you know where I can find list of shortcuts from keyboard for each DAW? Like (Shift+some button = action) Thanks for your time, Alex

Hi Matt. Thanks for the wonderful video. I actually have a problem with Logic X 10.2.4 not at all changing the lighting guide+parameters on my S-88 when connected recently. Kontakt does not work at all and Kontrol sometimes. Also the firmware upgrader does not even see the S-88 connected. Other than that. Everything in Maschine is working perfectly. Would you have an idea? Thanks :)

+Vincent Corver did you recently update your Mac OS? I did about a week ago and it completely messed up my KKS to the point it didn't really do anything. A quick reinstall of Komplete Kontrol fixed everything.

Hiya Matt. Thanks so much for your swift response :) :) Yes, had an hour on the phone with NI in Berlin just now. They fixed the Automatic Track Focus and the Transport Controls inside Logic using Komplete Kontrol as AU Plugin, but Kontakt 5 AU Plugin inside Logic still doesn't work. :( We deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs & com.apple.logic10.plist - They said I would have to load Kontakt 5 AU Plugin inside the Komplete Kontrol AU Plugin but I'm not a great fan of doing that as I'm missing certain controls. Hi Matt, great video. My KK S61 works as described, but when I quit Garage Band and open Komplete Kontrol for instance, the keyboard get stuck and I have to restart the all system. Any idea? Thanks

Awesome video man!! Question: If you were to record midi whilst playing in chord mode. Will the DAW recognize the keyboard input as actual chord notes?? or will your Daw only display the exact notes you played (just topline) ????

Woah how did you get kk to record those midi notes in logic? When I use the arp, only the notes held down record. It does play the arp but not the midi notes.

+B.B.R I recorded the arp in Maschine and dragged the midi to a track in Logic. Logic is unable to do it because of the AU protocol.

Okay, this has really got me excited to get my own KK. Please tell me, does this work the same with Logic Pro 9? Because I haven't made the switch to LPX. I like 9. Can I still get this same hands on control? To load non-NI plus and browse, and NI plugs..?

Hi Matt, Great vid! Does Logic X read the Komplete Kontrol Arp midi yet? I mean all the separate notes being sequenced or just the notes being held? Haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming it doesn't input all the separate arp notes into the midi region.

I had no problems configuring Komplete to record the "advanced" MIDI VST OUT data (arpeggio, chords etc) on a second track.. But the "new" functions described did nothing for the Mackie (Transport functionality protocol). W hat's worse it messed with my Presonus Fader Port and i have currently no clue what to possibly do about it..

Are Smart Controls working with Logic factory instruments like alchemy, grand piano etc. with the new releases of Komplete Kontrol 1.6 and Logic Pro X 10.2.3? I want to buy an S61 but I read a lot of people saying the smart controls are not working as advertised in Logic.

They work perfectly. You can just assign them to the MIDI CC's of Komplete Kontrol running in MIDI mode

I really wish they had one with a bunch of knobs just like these (with those paramiter readouts) and NOOO key bed... I just need knobs for a live performance and a key bed that isn't used during performance is a massive space invader. Anyway, I like all your vids. They sound like they're made from N.I. directly.

i dont know why, buy when i use it in my LogicX, my KK S25 has Scale, ARP, Browsse, Instance, Back, Enter and arrows are dimmed :( what am i doing wrong? I added it with Control Surfs/Setup/ New/Komplete Kontrol S-series/

Hey Matt: I have Logic Pro 9. I go to Control Surfaces to add my Komplete Kontrol and it won't let me. I definitely have KK 1.8.2 updated. Is it not working because I have Logic 9. It's actually in italics when I go to click on it in Control Surfaces. Thanks man.
