The problem with Yugioh community reactions on the banlist is simple yet hard to grasp • We have the most complex game + the most casual gamebase due to the anime train. -> This is the real problem, this is why you hear such crazy and ban-worthy statements after each list: “Why didn’t they ban the deck I cannot win against? Why can’t I get unfair cards unbanned to win with minimal effort.” • Casuals should either stay on casual plane or play one piece. Casuals are also in my book people who want to play competitively but will never put on the hours and work this amazingly complex and difficult game requires.

I think people forget what it means if there’s a ton of hits on the ban list. That’s a sign that there’s at least one or a couple so overpowering like Tear or Dragon Rulers that’s just above and beyond everything else and the meta is so warped around it that there’s little to no diversity within deck building. A few hits like this means the format is seemingly pretty healthy to where a variety of decks have a fair shot and they all keep each other in check. Now it’s just going to be interesting with Unchained becoming so popular seemingly overnight if there will be a hit on it in a month or two after a few YCS’s if it takes a ton of tops.

Would’ve liked a light hit to fusion decks somehow, maybe limit super poly or branded fusion consistency. Would’ve also like prosperity be adjusted somehow but besides that, I am also a fan of this short and sweet list. Maybe someday Konami will make a big splash and start bringing back cards that have no right to be on the ban list anymore. I’m sure I’ll be getting my old age pension by then.

I've seen quite a lot of people whinging on and on about "where's the unchained hit? where's the purrely hit?" and man, come on, neither of them are problematic at all, especially not in the level of racist visas starfrost. unchained has been meta for less than a month dude 😭 and people already want it hit? ygo players just want to see bloodshed I swear. honestly I want more banlists in the future to follow this example of banning (or otherwise weakening) the most problematic strategies in favour of a more diverse format. also thank you for defending d shifter. without it, one of my most beloved pet decks (ritual beast) would lose a necessary effect to put resources in the banished zone lol

How does Droplet do anything to King Calamity? You cannot respond to his effect. Also, don't we still need the Books to deal with negates?

Fuck Storm, normalize unbanning Giant Truande. The GY interactions off Storm would be really problematic. I do think the game needs effectively more copies of Feather Duster in the card pool given how bad power creep has gotten. I just don't think Feather Duster itself should come to 2 or 3 since its one sided, nor do i want a Feather Duster that banishes. Giant Trunade at least puts the owness on the player to put down the opponent that turn or else risk them setting their traps again, though i would only move it to 1.

shifter arguement is so stupid. First off, your oppent is gonna make you commit before they shifter if they know what theyre doing. Its like max c, the risk of playing into talents vs the pros of making them turnskip and go neg is just not even an arguement. Thens there is the fact that if a decks whole identity revolves around playing a unsearchable 3 of that is useless to draw multipal of and needs to be drawn in your opening hand it shouldn't be a vaiable deck. Next there's the fact that multipal decks besides floow and exosister can use shifter. Finnal theres the fact that it's just not a fun card, which might blow your mine but the banlist shouldn't just acount for making a balence game, but also a fun one.

Shifter is fine. Definitely annoying and non-interactive, but so is playing into a board of 6 negates. People thinking they should be entitled to go full combo and load up their graveyard with their ridiculous amount of resources need a wake-up call. You saying that decks leaning on Shifter shouldn't be viable, you're right, and that's exactly the point he was making in the video too, saying that waiting out the Shifter and doing what you can to play around it is usually going to be enough. This game is all about fucking your opponent over, doesn't matter how the card text spells it.
