You know what Jeff Leonard reminds me of? I'm in the Advance Wars By Web community, and there is a player there called Grimm Guy who has somehow made the worst CO in the game work. He plays a CO called Grimm, who has +30% attack in exchange for -20% defense: without getting too into it, defense is vastly more superior than attack because of the way terrain bonuses stack, and since taking damage reduces your attack a high defense is also a high offense. Somehow, SOMEHOW, this guy cracked the code, solved the puzzle, there is no spoon, and is phenomenally powerful with this awful character. Like, he casually beats down champions at the game. It's insane lmfao

Pride is important for some people when it comes to a passion they have. Yes at the end of the day it goes no where and was not really worth it in the end. I think a lot of people who play the game especially back then they want that yugi/kiba anime moment with them beating the better player.

Wow, Yu-Gi-Oh has the tamest history of "beef" imaginable. Competitive Yu-gi-oh would be so much better and so much more fun to watch if there was more drama, rivalry, and character. The same people who say beef between competitive players is lame and bad for the game are the first people to watch and get excited about a rivalry play out. We all love to see the villain lose. Drama, beef, rivalry, villains are the secret backbone to the growth of every competetive game. If there was more of this, then there'd be more of an audience, and more money, more growth, more entertainment in Yu-Gi-Oh competition. One day I hope to see some loud, leather jackat wearing, eccentric douchebag who takes himself way too seriously become the best Yu-Gi-Oh player in the world. When there's a villain arc, a hero arc is inevitable lol.

Honest opinion as an older player that doesn’t really play modern yugioh, my take is that if this card completely shut you down then you just had narrow deck building to not have any removal besides monster effects. I could probably name 1000 cards that counter it, no? But everyone wants to run nothing but infinite monster combos and didn’t have space in their deck for enough outs to mystic mine - I get that, but it’s just funny to me that 1 card beats your epic meta deck…gg

@tsukamesuccess7332 10 күн бұрын
shutting you down until you draw removal is still enough; that's still like 3-5 turns on average

That comment just shows that you don't understand the game at all. There exist counters to it, sure, but you actually need to get those into your hand. Inexperienced players are really quick to point out that mst exist but fail to come up with a strategy to actually get multiple msts into their hand quickly and in every game. Just having an answer to mine in your deck is worthless, you need it in your hand and in multiples. There's just no actually consistent answer to mine. In the ycs it won everybody had 3 mst versions and a feather duster in their deck and it helped 0 against mine.
@ILYxIW
@ILYxIW 10 күн бұрын
@ put mine at one and everything negative you just said about countering it also applies to using it 😂 Yugioh is already 50% rng of going first anyway so it’s just funny to me as someone that doesn’t play modern Yugioh, that you guys complain about consistently
@nicolaistuhlmuller8718

@@ILYxIW yeah no, mine is a field spell and field spells have dozens of searchers. A mine deck had up to 14 searchers for mine and up to 12 negates to protect it. Thinking MST beats mystic mine is like thinking randomly putting all 5 Exodia pieces in your deck will win you every duel. Sure, in theory it does but in practice the odds of drawing all those unsearchable cards is astronomically low. Understanding Yugioh is understanding consistency and being able to build decks that work as often as possible, not just sometimes. That was one of the key concepts since the very start of the game. Just imagine someone coming up to you and saying "oh you don't like modern yugioh? Just put all 5 Exodia pieces into any deck, they can win any duel". If you have a basic understanding of the game you will then rightfully say that this only works in theory, because in practice the odds to draw all pieces quickly are astronomically low. It's the exact same thing with all mine answers that aren't in a specific archetype.
@ILYxIW
@ILYxIW 10 күн бұрын
@ the fact that you think mst is the only counter is kinda funny. For one, mine sucks going first because if they play it turn one and have no monsters it would just get destroyed, so they have to play it after you play monsters, which means you could have already set up all kinds of counters to it. Plenty of monsters can negate a card activation, plus there’s like 4 different versions of MST, plus you could use something like prohibition, or side deck any number of counter traps to it and so much more I could think of. If they’re playing a dozen searchers to mine then they auto lose when you destroy the 1 copy. Just face it, you’re salty because your particular deck loses to it

I miss this deck so much in TCG that it hurts. Is there any chance you’re thinking about putting together some Mimighoul content? I’d love to see a pure deck profile with some combos and a couple matches. I know, I know, I said it before and I’ll say it again, I really need the tips and pointers regarding these cards as I’m starting to learn how to properly pilot them. Anyway, Yu-Gi-Oh! Content creators like your self go a long way into making the game more enjoyable. Keep up the good work! Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, whoever looks with lust has already committed adultery in their heart. If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.
