Thank you Dr.garu once again for this wonderful video of konark theatre. I had seen Namak halal in 1982. I remember going on my BSA SLR cycle from my house in old malakpet to watch this Bachchan sir's hilarious comedy which went on to become one of his classic movies. I still remember Dilsukhnagar was not very well developed with an almost empty road from konark till tv tower. Really how much our city has changed over the years. After watching your videos I feel like watching movies again in konark and Venkatramana. It has been nearly 4 years since the renovation but the maintenance is excellent in both the cinemas.

@@raghureddy7217 Hello nice to know that you stayed in old malakpet and yes I remember kamal talkies remember watching Mahaan, Andha kannon and also remember listening to Sholay's dialogues from outside 😊😊😊 it was demolished about 15 years back and a hospital was constructed now Care hospital is running it. And also their was another theater named Tirumala talkies beside kamal sadly that also has been demolished.

At the age of 6 with family went to watch kushi movie in this theatre, after seeing huge crowd we afraid and escaped from there and watched Nuvve kavali movie in Ganga theatre. Still remembered that I used to cry a lot to watch Kushi mvi in theatre. After 21 years finally got an opportunity to watch kushi again. 😅
