Bravo to percussionist Jakob Weber Egholm here. Very simple rhythm on the snare, but playing that at the same speed over and over and over again for 15 minutes is nothing close to an easy task. Well done, sir.

I always pictured a caravan coming out of the desert when I heard this. Slowly at first, barely visible, but then forever closer and closer as colours becomes more vibrant and visible, then sounds and smell, before it arrives with fanfare. It is a great introduction piece for young people who are not used to classical music.

Bruno Bozzetto did an animation set to Bolero which is very similar to what you describe, but... with a typical Bozzetto twist. You may enjoy it.

A Classic Preformed By A Classic Symphony !!! Extremely Well Played !!! Hats Off to The Percussionist For His Steady Light Rythem !!! THANK YOU .
This is the finest video of this piece I have ever seen. Every soloist is featured on camera at the perfect moment and the sections are shown when they have the lead. As sections are added, they are added to the whole. The Maestro is excellent and adds a crucial emotion to the performance. No other version of Bolero on KZbin comes even close. I watch this often it is so satisfying.

When I was a kid I used to watch everything on TV because we only had one channel at the time. That's how I came to listen to classical music that usually was scheduled very late. And then I noticed the facial expressions of each player, and I understood that there was something special there. That classical music could take you to a special world I always dreamed of knowing myself. Today some studies show the positive effects of this kind of music on human brain, compared to any other kind of pop music. I do believe this is true when I listen to this masterpiece and some other Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Berlioz, etc pieces.

This symphoney collects all our life experirces as we get old and evetully die. our whole life goes like one movement sympony such as the rythem of this master piece getting movementun as we get old and ends with all our life experiences in a single loud movement . Bolero Ravels, in my humble opinion , is when a child is born it goes though life slowly moving through day and night in a symphony ,learning through lif by the same rythem, ending in a big loud noise. What do you guys think about the meaning of this master piece, please share.
