Little update: I took advantage of the 2 little screws to fix the tension, and so far it seems to work fine - let's see how many tilt movements it lasts. Apart from this little 'inconvenience', I love my Kondor Blue rig so much. Just yesterday, I adjusted it to work on both my shoulder and on my tripod: therfore, I slid the camera more to the front (of the rods) and mounted a tripod plate under the camera base plate. The shoulder pad goes to the rear part. Yes, this adds some weight on my arms - but now I can watch the picture from the camera viewfinder and the top monitor mounted to the rear of the handgrip on the cage.

Awesome hack! I also ordered the big shoulder rig for my S1H because of the great design and the versatility - but I feel pretty disappointed with the monitor mount with its tension screws losing grip after 2-3 monitor tilting movements. also, the small fixations screws seem to be with limited effect. Your hack will be my solution, too!

Hi Nate, this video shows how to properly lock in your tension with our monitor mounts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaq9lGZ-fpWHZpo You have to make sure you are using the additional set screws after you set your tension (4 screws total). Once you set it right it will blow your mind! Never needing to tighten ever again! By the way stoked you love the S5ii cage!
