The first movie Godzilla one twice out of three times, it’s even said in the movie that there were three rounds, and the movie has a whole count as one victory for Godzilla since he won the most, and it’s called one round, Godzilla was wanting to fight a second time which would’ve made this movie round two of three battles, But that wasn’t his intention. Godzilla isn't invincible. He can be beaten and killed but this showed that Kong was not there to do that. It was to get his help.
