Kong might very well be my new favorite Kaiju of all…his story, his actions, his pride and effort he gave it out there..Kong definitely earned his place as King of the Hollow Earth after such a harsh journey from the day he saw his parents die right in front of him. He may not be the King of the Monsters but he earned Godzillas respect and even won a round against him! He also saved his life and at last I think Godzilla and Kong fans alike can put aside their differences and agree that this was the best rematch of the century! Go #TeamKong and #TeamGodzilla!!

Kong, The Defiant King. Dude that title is badass and is probably his best one now. Now if only we could get some Titans to be Kong's friends so he doesn't have just a humans as his companions I think that'd help with fleshing Kong out as a character. Which you know, isn't THAT important but I don't just seeing the Titans have some character wouldn't hurt either. In the Showa Era there was a decent emotional scene between Godzilla and his son the movie his son was introduced in where the two huddled together for survival as they went into forced hibernation due to a heavy snowfall and dropped temperature. It was pretty impactful scene seeing that Godzilla had the capacity to be worried for his son and did what he could to protect him. This kind of character trait was shown again in the Heisei Era when he had his first battle with SpaceGodzilla. Unable to match SpaceGodzilla and protect Godzilla Junior, Godzilla abandons all attempts to fight and destroy SpaceGodzilla and turns to his son by his leg. He puts his arms around Junior as SpaceGodzilla continues to fire his Corona Beam from the air. Godzilla takes most of the damage acting as a shield for Junior and eventually falls with a heavy thud that shakes the island. As Junior tries to help Godzilla he's lifted off the ground and taken by SpaceGodzilla. Godzilla raises his arm helplessly, too wounded and weak to do anything else, and watches Junior be taken. Overall with all the facial expressions Legendary gives to the Titans it would be interesting to some character growth within the Titans especially for Kong who's the most human Titan of all so far.

well in the city battle, he thought goji was slow due to his tanky design nad thicc, so he fought him with bare hands and other objects. then he realized goji can move fast af until he started to crawling. but he also a bit careful that godzilla has atomic breath

Godzilla's not way stronger than him, in fact Kong is physically stronger than Godzilla. On the Ocean, in the water when Godzillas weight, balance and leverage couldn't help him Kong grabbed his arms, held him in place as he struggled to get free, and then Kong headbutted tf out of him. Kong is faster, stronger, smarter, but Godzilla is heavier, taller, more experienced and has atomic breath. Kong only lost because his arm got dislocated and he had a Commotio Cordis attack www.healthline.com/health/commotio-cordis. The only things Godzilla ever did that actually affected him more than a second was the arm dislocation. The rest Kong just took.. and guess what? Kong isn't even done growing he's only "near his full growth" according to the novel.

Godzilla can easily kill the foolish over confident ape if he really wanted to and speaking of which Godzilla clearly never had any intention of killing Kong in the first place. I would go so far as to say Godzilla attacked those ships because of the fact they were taking Kong out of his natural habitat not because he perceived Kong as a threat. When Godzilla arrives in Hong Kong and drills to the throne if Godzilla really wanted Kong dead he would have stayed put and turned Kong to ash as he tried climbing out of the Hollow Earth. Kong was never Godzilla's target the Mecha was Kong was just a meddling ape who got in the way and was quickly defeated when Godzilla stopped playing around.

Kong's theme reminds me of Marahutes theme from "The Rescuers Down Under", but darker and more serious. Over all, Godzilla vs Kong had quite a few influences from the underappreciated Disney gem, also the friendship between him and Jia was somewhat like that of Cody and the giant eagle. Likewise, Mecha Godzilla even seems somewhat modelled on the poacher truck from "Down Under" - all we really needed then was a truly menacing human antagonist, though Walter Simmons may be the most evil MV villain yet.

Not going to lie to myself, King Kong has had some phenomenal themes, but this might just be my favorite. I really love the raw power in the first half, and the sort of quiet & nuanced tribal music later on, which I really love. I think it perfectly encapsulates what makes King Kong such a great character, and I really wished the movie really mixed the synthwave and traditional orchestral pieces better, or was, for that matter, a better movie, but this is one of the movie's shining strengths. I'm looking foward to Tom Holkenborg shining even brighter in the sequel.

To be fair, GvK suffered production issues due to Covid and other stuff which causes delays and a lot of stuff cut from the film sadly which it might affected Holkenborg's schedule as well. Hopefully GxK is a much more smoother performance for Junkie now that they have a smooth film production.

I think it will be a second Kong film. Kong is now king of the Holo Earth and takes on a threat. That sounds like a movie everyone would want to see. Especially since Kong is now King of the Holo Earth and the monsters in it. The ending of GvK is basically a set up for a second Kong film.

If you think Kong got his ass kicked then you're delusional. He was pounding Godzilla so much Godzilla had to switch to his atomic breath, which Godzilla repeats when fighting MechaGodzilla. Only when Kongs arm got dislocated did Godzilla manage to gain the upper hand and Kong only started dying because he got a Commotio Cordis which is purely a bad luck thing for Kong. I love Godzilla but come on guy Kong MADE Godzilla respect him.
