Imagine if this was at night in a slightly more open area...maybe a forest but it was not a giant daddy longlegs, but instead it was a colossal amblypygi. That is the stuff of nightmares right there. It may be mostly blind and it may move slow when it stalks its prey. If it however wants to move fast it can do so....blindingly fast with both legs and pedipalps (spiky arms). One moment it is there but the next it just becomes a blur of movement. No venom or webs, instead it just uses brute strength to crush and impale its prey with its fangs and spiked arms.

If anyone else is wondering why there's hardly any blood being drawn out when the leg comes out of the guy's mouth, its because this spider has legs specialised for sucking up internal fluids, and in a way his organs are also being sucked up at a fast rate.

I found this scene very amusing. When I was active duty decades ago, I was taking a break to eat my MRE during a night exercise. As I was hungry as all hell, I was shoving the food as fast as I could in my mouth. On one of these mouthfuls, I noticed a daddy long legs on my spoon, but I shoved it in my mouth and started chewing before it registered in my head what I was eating (I was really exhausted and mentally drained). I really wish godzilla vs kong kept the level of violence and seriousness that this film had. Also the f bombs. Kotm and skull island had a few f bombs but gvk did not which is super disappointing. I think they leaned too heavily into the "it's for kids" angle because while kids also enjoy it these characters were always meant for adults to enjoy since day 1 for both kong and godzilla. So seeing them so kiddied down hurts my soul lmao
