I love him in Guardians of the Galaxy, but given that Quill’s behavior is ridiculous a majority of the time, though a lot of his humor I believe stems from an act of self preservation, his character just isn’t respected. Anyway, I just really love seeing him in a smart role where people have to acknowledge that he knows a lot more than they do and they have to respect him for that. It’s just absolutely awesome.

I hate how they treat Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy. Like at the end of End Game with him and Thor. "Oh yes, we know who's in charge here!" "You two should fight over it!" Jesus Christ. The man literally killed a superior, immortal being trying to make the entire universe part of himself and gave up that power as a sacrifice, he also held an infinity stone in his hand to prevent another powerful being from destroying an entire planet, but no, let's just treat him as the peppy side kick who gets into arguments with Thor over who is more manly.
@haileyhellenga43753 жыл бұрын
@@Maniac742 Yeah, and the thing is, he is actually smart. Street-smart and resourceful. The issue isn't really his abilities it's just the fact that he somehow hasn't done enough to earn respect. But whether the character's who work with him can see that or not, it is important for the audience to recognize that he is not an idiot. I've seen a lot of comments about how it was his fault that they were unable to defeat Thanos in Infinity War because his emotions over Gamora got the best of him. Spoiler alert: he's human. Feeling emotion is part of that and unfortunately, our response to having our heart ripped out isn't always the most rational one. Anyway, just my opinion. :)

For me, one of the things that is so chilling about this scene is the way they tied almost every death back to the heart monitors. For example, you see the first guy get grabbed and he is broken free and then you get such a scary sense of mortality when the Indo steps forward and crushes him and then immediately after it shows his heart monitor go blank. He didn't even have enough time to process he just got crushed to death, he just was there one minute and the next gone. Same exact thing happened to the guy who didn't see it coming when the tree was knocked over on top of him. He saw what was about to happen but didn't have any moment to process it. This is one of the VERY FEW death scenes in film that actually gets me chills to think about because they kept tying it back to the heart monitors. Such a smart choice by the director do do this.

That depends on what technology the device was using. It would have to be large either way. If it's gps-based, it would have to have a good enough receiver to receive GPS signals through the dino skin and be able to retransmit the data either via GPS uplink or LMR frequencies. Since we learn in the second movie that all the dinos can be tracked from the control room at a high point with a radio tower, I'm guessing most of the dinosaurs' trackers run on LMR frequencies, most likely UHF 900mhz ISM band. I love this scene because of Owen's speech. They thought they were in control, that everything was fine, and Owen was the only one in the room who knew that they weren't prepared at all for what Indominus would do. 0:50 I don't know how they still managed to think of the money they spent creating Indominus to not have used lethal weapons. Stupidity in its purest form. Wasn't it already obvious that this thing is stronger and smarter than a T-Rex? Of course you can just kill it. You're all basically trillionaires already and you can still think of more ways to make money?
@dylanmckenzie8566 Жыл бұрын
They are still smart enough to have brought live-fire weapons with them though. Which is pretty much how real life zoos and wildlife parks operate too- if an animal classified as dangerous escapes, you try to recapture with tranquilizers or other method. If it seems like it will breach the facility perimeter or threatens human life, then lethal force is used. The troopers should have immediately opened fire with firearms after their commander died, but that would have taken time to transition from tranqs to live rounds. So I can’t fault them too much for trying to contain her with the weapons they already had at the ready. Panic and all that.
@LoneCommentWanderer Жыл бұрын
@@dylanmckenzie8566 That I understand. What I can't understand is how they still thought it would be a good idea to keep Indominus as a park attraction after seeing what this thing was capable of. Indominus would escape one way or another.

"She does not know what she is." What Owen means is every creature on this planet has a sense of what it is by what it can do and they can identify others like it by similar mannerisms. She is the product of a t-rex and a velociraptor (actually a utahraptor to be more accurate on the size though very similar in DNA) hybrid. Raised in captivity with no other dinosaur, she doesn't know how to handle any other dinosaur except kill them because she can't identify with any of them. She doesn't even know she's supposed to kill to eat, not kill for sport. There's nothing there to teach her. If someone told you a creation or a hybrid isn't doing what the creatures it's made up of do and says something like this, that's when you panic because the rules have changed and things will go wrong.
@flounder27604 жыл бұрын
except by that logic every animal in the park living solitary in their own enclosure like the t rex or the mosasaur would all act like the indominus.
@Tigressa1014 жыл бұрын
@@flounder2760 But the Mosasaurus and the T-Rex have seen humans and more than likely if the T-Rex really is the same from the first movie as its implied, she already knows what she is through the years she spent among the isle interacting with various species. The Mosasaurus seems to know she's being fed so she doesn't need to hunt a lot and she's interacted with humans so she knows there are other creatures out there than just her and they aren't for eating (mainly because she can't get to them).
@AHModuckTube4 жыл бұрын
@@flounder2760 yes but than there is the matter of cross genetics! That's literally the product of three different dinosaurs as well as present day animals! It has great intelligence but its mind must be going haywire! It uses its respective skills perfectly in any situation yet it doesnt know any of the mannerisms! So highly likely its totally confused! It's like take a high schooler and put em in amongst pre schoolers! Now the high school kid knows what's what and what's not but they would still be confused as to what they are doing in that situation so they would just end up doing their own thing Its basically acting on respective instincts A velociraptor basically hunts for sport A trex hunts for food But considering Irex is more vraptor than trex dna,it seems to be acting on that!
@Tigressa1014 жыл бұрын
@@flounder2760 Another note I should add that I forgot to: have you ever had a cat and a dog at the same time and raised them together from infancy maybe with one of the parents? What you would see often is one species will believe it's the other if there is nothing else to imprint upon. A dog can act like a cat (or thinks it's one) if raised among a litter of kittens. Indominus was never raised around anything but isolation. She had nothing to imprint upon to tell her proper mannerisms...except the humans who maintained her cage and being a highly intelligent animal, she probably watched how they did things and mimicked some of their movements. It helps that she has human DNA mixed in but that's scary that the only thing close that she can relate to are humans because they are the only ones she's seen. When she encounters the raptors, notice how she's mimicking conversing like we humans do with one another, moving her head between the four like a manager would do if they were speaking to all their employees at once. She's imprinted on humans. She truly is the most deadly dinosaur created.
