For me, hip hop is the sport of music. It hurts so much when it comes to violence. Who knows where some of these artist would be if not taken so young. I love the compete and pushing each other to their peak. But damn how much better would music be if we still had all the artist taken out by stupid feelings. Examples for me are Tupac, biggie, big L, Mac dre among so many others. Can’t take the competition out of hip hop. Artist like eminem and eyedea honed there skills in the battle circuits. I feel it was this competition driven avenue that pushed these artist to the top of there skills.
