Wrestling Bios has really made it clear at how messed up Booker T's booking was in WCW. The time to push him as a top guy was 98-99, instead WCW didn't even go with Booker T vs Stevie Ray and reformed Harlem Heat. He could and should have been a top guy for them way, way sooner.

@@kennedywilliams2280 not a mark at all. I know and understand that wrestling is scripted, episodic television. And I believe that storylines and character development is of primary importance, which creates interest in the matches. You have to put titles on people who are over as babyfaces or who has heat as a heel, captivating character, good to solid mic skills, and who understands ring psychology. Putting the title on any and everyone doesn't produce good, captivating television.

It's sad it took almost 4 years later to finally put the World title on him. The roster was just that stacked. Hulk had creative control. Bischoff couldn't do anything about it. Justified hulk criticism but Eric couldn't really do anything if hulk wanted to do something. Also, this is how you know when someone's gotten old officially. They will start reminiscing on the past and be very mad about things that happened twenty to forty yrs ago as if it is happening right now. That's what old men do. Booker t puts the blame on Eric and Hulk Hogan, but you will never hear him criticize Triple H or Vince McMahon and this only shows whether he is actually a logical and honest person or not But the Eric, Hulk and even Vince Russo haters won't admit it. When Mr. Booker says that Hulk Hogan only thinks about himself, but he and his brother admitted that Hogan was the one who asked WCW management to push the Harlem Heat team. I don't understand how he can only think about himself and at the same time help your team, Booker T?? Eric Bischoff was suffering from people above him who were interfering in his decisions, so Eric is not the final boss as is the case with Vince McMahon, but Booker T and Eric's haters do not understand that and only like to lie to themselves. WCW would have closed its doors from day one before Eric, Hulk, or Russo arrived. They had nothing to do with the death of the company. This company was opened only to be closed . booker T is a WWE A kisser an You admit that your salary was 15 thousand dollars a year, and when Hogan came and WCW rose because of him, your salary became 100 thousand dollars, and yet you criticize him? Say thank you to Hogan instead of spreading lies about him. He helped your team, you and your brother, and because of him your salary increased. Say thank you, Booker, and don't talk about behind the scenes and WCW business and things you don't know Because you weren't in the room with Eric, Hulk, and others. Even though Triple H buried you at WrestleMania 19, you still defended him and that match. I know very well that you are not satisfied with that match, but you lie when you defend Triple H, just as you lie when you accuse Hulk Hogan and Eric. . You'Hunter and Vince's ass kisser .

On the point about Hogan having creative control, Bischoff did whatever it took to get Hogan. He had all the leverage in the situation while WCW had none. Booker usually puts over hogan as the guy who made him win the tag titles. In numerous interviews Booker said he was in a room with them and hogan said to bischoff “these are your champs. Put the rocket on them”. I think the angle Bischoff said that night was hogan getting screwed and coming back Halloween havoc. He wasn’t walking out with the belt that night. The way Russo did it obviously wasn’t agreed upon because it didn’t set hogans character up witty any future plans

Ok but who actually thinks Booker drew? He was ok and a solid hand but I dont recall being “wow booker will change things”. He was just a “great worker” not TOP GUY. So who cares

“There was subtle to overt racism there” You could literally apply that to what Booker T had to go through at WWE in order to win the title. Just ask Stevie Ray. Booker T’s best push came in WCW. He was legitimized along with his brother in guess where, WCW. His WWE run was one humiliation ritual and buffoonish stereotype storyline after the other. If Booker T was a WWE guy from the start of his career he would have never accomplished half of what he did in WCW beginning with Harlem Heat.

Triple H dogged out Booker T, I mean BURIED him. Triple H talked to him with racist innuendo and everything. That King Booker crap must have made Booker feel better or something. I’m convinced Booker is no more than a WWE lapdog. Makes me wonder how he’d speak if WCW was still operating.

the person that WCW should have made champion was Goldberg, not Booker T. Then Scott Steiner vs Goldberg could have kept going but with the title on the line.

Wrong. Booker deserved the title more than Goldberg. He’d been around longer than Goldberg and was a company man, unlike Goldberg.

The Rock produced the documentary. Even though he never worked for WCW. What was the point of keep bringing up this mess that has been talked about over 20 years? Dude, just wanted to put another buck in his pocket by beating a dead horse.

Booker just wasn't over at that time... if he was it wouldn't matter.... guys like scott hall, jake the snake , piper, curt henning ect ect never held the belt but It didn't matter because they were over. Nobody cares or remembers... If you need the belt to be over, then you're probably not over.

Just because Booker t called Hogan a n.... Does not give hogan a pass to do what ever he wants to say or do. Booker is completely on the right here and has all the right to still be mad about it.

Booker T should've never been world champion along with many other people. Booker T never filled up arenas. There are less than 20 people that ever deserved world titles, and Booker would've never been champion if he didn't go crying to the naacp.
