First, there was no dispute between any Elite-member and Cody. The later maneuvered himself into a corner in AEW by deliberately dropping out of the main title picture/"mid-carding" himself and only realized that he had fcked up some time later. In regards of Punk - "what exactly" is there that any Elite-guy "really" did? Right, 1(!) "promo" (if one wants to call it so) by Adam Page. Which was adressed by TK (Page was fined and suspended, and never again even tried to stir the crapbowl named Punk (his "fans" being the "cute" little sh1tflakes in it). "Everything else" is telltale fantasy made up by either Punk, or his smelly minions. Reality is, Punk wanted out of his contract in '22 already; so, he did his "best" to make Khan look bad, to make the EVP's look bad, to make the whole roster look bad at the "All Out" media scrum; and, making good use of that "opportunity", to unload a truckload of verbal excrements on his "old friend" Colt Cabana who had exactly NOTHING to do with the whole situation. But that still wasn't enough to get fired, so he tried again a year later by attempting to ruin AEW's up-to-today biggest show. Which ultimately got him what he wanted in the first place - and rightfully so, albeit "too late". Now, to have Bryan Danielson as a part of that "disciplinary commitee" means "what" exactly, other than the AEW-locker room has an all-around respectable representative in it? "Somone" from the athletes-side "had to" be included, and it's hard to figure ANYONE whose integrity is less questionable than Danielson's. One could've thought of Sting - but i'm kindof 100% positive the he wouldn't had wanted to expose himself in such a way, it's his "send-off run" after all. But yeah. It's ALWAYS the other side's fault. We all played that game at one point - usually when we were, like, 3? Sadly, some "fans" never mentally evolve past that stage...

MJF is a draw normally, but things have gotten a bit out of hand with the “poor bullied MJF” story. Omega on his own is a bit of a draw (when he has singles matches the ratings have proven to go up, just not by a large margin). The Bucks are not. Page also hasn’t been a draw since he won the title. His run was sub-par and he doesn’t get the same buzz he once did from the crowd. I’m not a fan of the Elite, but there are a lot of people on the internet who exaggerate things. They may not draw like Punk did, but they don’t not draw (except for the Bucks on their own, they lose viewers routinely when that’s the case). The problem is that AEW is run like a clubhouse and the Elite have too much sway. Tony was always going to pick them over Punk because firing one person is easier for him than firing a number of people (even if, combined, they don’t draw as much as the one other person).

Part of the reason why I think this never happened in WWE, was because you have a stern locker room leader with Taker and the Wrestler's Court. Right now AEW is in a little bit of trouble. They've had a rough 2023 full of bad publicity, even though they had the big Wembley success. The honeymoon phase was over already when Cody left and losing Cargill and Punk doesn't help and there are many factors that have made AEW lose some of its luster, the Elite don't have that much cool factor anymore., some questionable booking decisions that hurt the product, low attendance and low ratings...all just when they're negotiating the TV rights. Hopefully the storm will pass and they'll bounce back eventually, but they need a streak of good news.

I remember when Hangman had the championship. I wasn't impressed with him whatsoever. Same with Omega, and I've never been impressed with him whatsoever. Very few people in AEW have impressed me, none of The Elite ever have. Their promos aren't the best, and Hangman going off script on CM Punk... don't care who he went off script on, I'd never hire that guy. Darby Allin and MJF have caught my eye, but the TV shows are so... off. I can't explain it any better than that.

I dont understand why so many past wrestlers go ga ga over MJF. He is a great Pro Wrestler no doubt and probably one of the best promo guy in the current generation but if you cant move the ratings, if you can't move the merc sales, if you cant sell more tickets, you are not just that great. The way these past wrestlers have put him to such a level doesn't justify what is obviously flawed in AEW in terms of business. MJF is the face of AEW and when you are in that position, if your product is not growing and stale with less interest among audience, the company is to be blame but we also need to accept that fans largely dont give a shit abaout MJF, period. If they do in majority, we would have atleast seen some improvements in the ratings and the ticke sales, not necessarily beat WWE which is a far cry but there has to be improvement in some parameters to compliment his greatness.

Even with Loss, AEW will survive as long as shahid doesn't pull the plug, Tony is a man child, he would literally take losses to keep this company floating. If they managed decent profits in two years, they would be sticking around. If TNA can stick around for 20 years, AEW has more than enough chance to survive. I doubt Punk had issues with Omega considering they were talking the same night of the fight and reportedly didnt get involved , but he's probably not far from retirement, he wrestles protected matches and admits he isnt old Kenny . But him needing to go I doubt was an issue . The Bucks started the fight , continued it secretly through minions and meltzer . Refused to have a sit down and be adults .Matt is another cripple ready to be retired , both of them are currently at home on a break or some crap from wrestling even though they just went on lenthy vacations . Punk was the draw , so was Cody . So in one years time, they ran off the money men so they could feel special again . 3 or 4 guys for one hmmm two of which are borderline handicapped and the other's main event statis has long since passed . I dunno I would've rolled the dice kept Punk , let the Bucks whine , they maybe go to WWE get grinded up on the road , get a year maybe two year push . The only benefit? Would be better figs . I'm must admit I was buzzing when cm punk came back to the WWE. I just wish AEW can sorta get more organized I'm sick of seeing comments of people looking AEW too just go out of business they dont fill arena etc etc number 1 it's another company that will keep someone working stop looking it to die at the moment AEW is not my thing but I keep up too date what's going on if they just got more organized maybe someone with experience booking shows plus I'd love more storylines keep us drawing into the product every week. They're still a young company still learning but they need too be careful learn do it right wwe has a massive head start maybe others wont agree with me but I've noticed wwe have been alot better lately for far too long stuff airing on tv wasnt good. If I was tony I'd use ROH as their development promotion that's what I'd do but hey I'm just a wrestling fan not an expert in the business.

I think Punk started to look at other options during his 9 month absence because he saw the writing on the wall. I think the biggest issue honestly was a difference in ideologies on what pro wrestling should be and you could hear that in Punk's rant. Had they actually sat, took the time to communicate with each other, perhaps they reach a compromise and this all gets avoided. But it's done and here we are. The guy didn't mean literally no one cared about MJF. He means no one cares enough to grow the audience. Ratings dropping and so is ticket sales. No one is a draw in that company because you're getting the same diehards that's always been there. Tony's unlimited funds that he gets from someone else make him different than any other "promoter" in history and it jades his outlook on the business. He won't go hungry if it fails so he's not running it like a actual business. How else can you explain him giving the Bucks a huge new deal when they add no value to the product? They're not over any longer and yet another new faction won't help and they hemorrhage viewers during their segments. I couldn't imagine if great bookers the past had his resources and father's connections what they could've got done

It may be his Dad's money which has financed AEW but Tony Khan is the one who is managing (or mismanaging?) the promotion. As he goes, so do and will,they as well.
