Honestly, this is a solid build for Konohana Sakuya. The only thing I'd change personally is exchanging Null Elec for Drain Elec, which you can get from Zeus with his essence. I say Drain since, rather than just nullifying attacks, it also gives a chance to restore HP, which can come in clutch in longer fights like Shiva or Demi-fiend. Aye, but that's just me though! PS: So good to see your content again! I used your guides a lot for both Vanilla SMT 5 and Persona 5 Royal.

Awesome build. I'm currently running some fire skills with her ( agibarion and high fire pleroma and maxed fire potential to 9). Her magatsuhi skill has worked wonders against super bosses and because of her, I no longer have MP issues.

Glad to see you're making some SMTV Vengeance videos too! I wish Atlus wouldn't make DLC demons so OP (although I don't think Dagda is that great) but oh well. I myself just beat Satan today on normal difficulty, no NG+ and no DLC demons. was definately a fun challenge! I hope you make some videos on other crazy builds!

Besides her insane support skills, Konohana Sakuya might be my favourite design in Vengeance. I've only just completed the side quest where you unlock Idun for fusion but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on my level so I can accept the quest to unlock Sakuya. EDIT- I beat her while being five levels lower then her. She is now a main stay on my team as both healer and fire user along with Oyamatsumi for her magatsuhi skill. Even without fusing specific skills onto her, she makes things SO much easier.

I know that it's just five dollars but this borderlien feels pay to win if you wanna go for godborn mode and the toughest fights/achievements. Like Idun's great but this girl is at least 1.5x more efficient, and my gripe in particular is the mp restoration, this game is already lacking in efficient SP restoring items (like 200mp or full restoration ones) so having such a busted character behind a 5 dollar paywall still kinda sucks lol.

I would agree if she even was a OP character to begin with, the only fights she's really good in is fights where more solid strategies provide way superior advantages. Even silly things like just using a full team of Qadistu demons make her abilities fairly redundant. Eishet, Agrat and Lilith give you massive dmg reduction, spell critical and critical amp... A full crit build Agrat is like a over-juiced classic-Yoshi using almighty dmg if she's in a party with her sisters. Then there's a fair number of builds who use the demons innate skills to juice up the Nahobino or even builds who use angels to get extra press-turns every single turn with full heals on-top, making Luster Candy work as well as any of the unique buff skills, this combo even got better when divine wrath can substitute for debilitate without MP cost or even using a turn. Don't get me wrong i also tend to use either Idun or well this time i did use Konohana for most parts of the game, simply because in the original game it was a easy way to build a team. But once you are near the end, where Konohana would make a difference above Idun you have far superior combinations available while taking into account the new magatsuhi skills.

@@c01onel Heck even a build with flauros and two other paw-to-paw demons go to town with most content. The extra dmg you get from doubler and their innate skills is just ridiculous... but in a way having Neko Shogun slap devil fiend in the face for i think it was close to 8k dmg was hilarious. Not in anyway close to a Arahabaki setup using Chi you or Gogmaggog to do those ridiculous crit setups, i think i have seen as high as 20k dmg or so using a ooze essence to maximize the crit multiplier.

Well when it comes to some of them you need all of the demons, like for example the heralds you need all four of the archangels to use their severe light aoe attack and same goes for the Qadishtu skill when you need all four of them(only one in the party). Both of these skills are also powerful enough to warrant using them to be entirely honest... I have no clue why you even use Idun or Konohana once you reach end game, the availability of incenses makes it much more prudent to go for a synergy build and most of those have debilitate and luster candy available to them. I currently do a challenge run(Law path) so I'm only allowed to use angels i normally would be able to fuse(was kinda hard when i only had angel tbh.) Now when i have the heralds I really just use magatsuhi skills, to heal and debuff, while having Gabriel use Luster Candy. 3x Angelic Order charge the magatsuhi bar so quickly i sometimes can use it every turn. Then any single target fights are just boring tbh. since Akashic arts just shreds most things(not near as efficient as gungnir, but rules are rules) and those turns i need to heal, i just use the healing skill they get from being law aligned, which grants me another press turn. When enemy use their magatsuhi i use divine shield... other turns i just use Divine wrath, shame it ain't a complete debilitate, but it always lower att and def by two stages which is more then sufficient considering most super bosses dekunda regularly, the added dmg is also quite substantial. Most powerful aspect of it is that i can debuff immediately at the start of the turn after a dekunda allowing Nahobino to deal maximum dmg every single turn.

you don't need to be on the vengeance route for either the aogami or hare essences. I am playing through creation and got those just fine.

They made Tao in the original as a way to have someone better than Idun and it didnt work out because Idun was still better. The solution? Lets make a DLC demon that is Idun but better, where not only she can she can recover hp and raise all your stats but she also recovers mp. And to make matters worse lets make her have insanely high vitality for a healer and a broken passive. How do we make sure people pay for her? Simple. We NERF Idun even more by giving her a useless combat passive and gutting her signature skill healing. Are we serious man? This is a single player game, not competitive pokemon

Lol yes true. But to be fair they did also nerf Tao's healing on her unique move. And Sakuya's HP healing is the basically the same amount as Idun/Tao

WIth Atlus I have learned to Never buy their DLC and here I am a loyal SMT buyer getting fucked again by atlus...not surprised there. Anyway I m still trying to beat demi fiend and the CoV super boss on hard mode, no godborn yet, any team recommendations? No DLC. I swapped Murakumo Naho for Magic with the new ice magic that pierce I did for the Coc super boss and worked well, I can reset him again to murakumo but Murakumo bores me.

Hm I haven't tried Satan yet, but I did make a Demi-Fiend post back in the vanilla game: medium.com/@bainz350/demi-fiend-boss-battle-guide-shin-megami-tensei-v-a524cbc6c1e6 . It's not updated for Vengeance yet though Edit: One tip for Satan seems to be, use Luminescent Mirage (+Intercalation) every turn if you can on MC. That way Satan uses Megidoloan instead of Megiddo Ark

U could bring demons like Amanozako to reverse your debuffs whenever u get debilitate. Dont even need to properly build her, just swap her in when the party gets debuffed. Another good demon would be Baal who gives press turns when debuffed.

He's basically garbage here unless you're going for specific Press Turn generation strategies because of his innate passive. Since the vast majority of fights have multi targets so his Hassou Tobi does paltry damage in comparison to any other guaranteed Critical builds (Using Figment Slash).

I recommend making a video showing the difference between sakuya’s healing capabilities with bowl of hygiea and sakuya without bowl of hygiea but with regular heal pleroma ontop of high heal pleroma.

Interesting choice for skills. Would swapping Donum Magici to stack up Boon Boost EX with normal Boon Boost be wise? I feel like that way the Luster Candy effect would remain for much longer. Call me an idiot if you want but Energy Drain would also be a good skill for Konohana Sakuya so she can keep using Sakuya Sakura though it’ll probably mean sacrificing Enduring Soul

Ooooh fair point. So far my team has been Agrat with Bloody and Murderous Glee to increase crit percentage, Restore and High Restore for MP recovery and both Almighty Pleroma for one obvious reason. Beelzebub for Debilitate thanks to Biondetta and I gave Konohana Sakuya Bowl of Hygieia for that HP Doping. Thanks to you I think I got a better idea what to do with her to exclude Energy Drain

On the issue of Idun, is there a different way to fuse her. As in smt v you had to use the original Lilith demon. However I believe she has been removed for the new storyline version. Hmm, like someone said, Gaea Rage has Pierce so not sure about Impaler's. Deadly Fury is OK to keep if you really want the guaranteed press turn. I think it's good overall, you can make any adjustments as you play!

If you want a high crit rate, you will need at least Murderous Glee somewhere in there. Even at 999 luck, my Nahobino does not crit 100% of the time without having BOTH, Murderous Glee and Bloody Glee on him. Drop Deadly Fury and Impaler's Animus. Animus got nerfed in Vengeance (only boosts by 30% now, not 80% as before) and Gaea Rage pierces anyway.

Figment slash with dragon eye and critical zealot for sure outclasses deadly fury. Always crits and has 300 power at base vs. Deadly Fury always crits but 200 power at base. You might not even need dragon eye if your stats are built for hit rate and you have good buff and debuffers. Figment slash genuinely surprised me with its damage. Actually do that dude, swap impaler's for dragon eye and maybe high phys pleroma for high allmighty. I am currently running figment slash with freikugel untik I get to the essence with heavenly ikyumi. Critical zealot and high allmighty pleroma but figment slash hits for more. It's crazy my man. Your build is a bit too spread out for that kind of endgame content. Right now I have: Freikugel Figment slash Critical zealot High allmighty pleroma Enduring soul Abyssal mask Murderous glee Null phys (I'm using namaah's essence right now, or maybe huang long's)

Why not run abysal mask to prevent ailments and regular heal pleroma alongside high heal pleroma for a boost in healing capabilities that stack? You can replace bowl of hygeia with regular heal pluroma which stacks on top of high heal pleroma.

You don't need heal pleroma just High heal pleroma as her innate skill already boost recovery effects if your stats are raised, which her main skill does that for the entire party anyway. Bowl of hygeia is also a must for longer fights especially on godborn difficulty.

@@Holy_Crusader With enough stamina incenses there will be no need for great mana spring at some point as you'll reach max mp. Since you can buy them in godborn difficulty it shouldn't be too hard albeit a little expensive.

Bowl of Hygieia main thing is letting you heal 30% above your HP, which otherwise you're not able to do. Depends how useful that is for you. Great Mana Spring can be replaced if you're at 999 MP already, but this is more for a general playthrough

I got her and she is generally entirely useless, I have her pumped full of healing buffs, I think enduring soul, and mediarama for panic heals. Her unique barely restores my mp to the point using soul drain or energy drain would outperform it on a bad day, she dies almost as soon as I bring her out. Why is she considered the best healer? She hardly does her fucking job, alilat does her job better and so does Tau who has around the same affinity as her for healing.
