Actually, weirdly enough, Aqua is *highly* valued up there in heaven. Her role at convincing hapless saps like Kazuma to jump into dangerous worlds is vitally essential and pretty much no one else up there can do it because it involves shifty scamming and double-talk. Basically, all the other gods and angels have too much of a moral conscience to trick humans like that....but not Aqua.

There is no better item than Aqua. She's a permanent party member with maxed out stats. Kazuma has a maxed tank and healer. With his utility, he could probably have the perfect party if he picked a real dps class, and Megumi didn't put every point into explosion.

If you look back after the side story of Megumin and just tell WHY Kazuma and Aqua can do construction works all the time: Because Megumin also arrives this town at almost the same time and create many potholes around the town by her explosion spell, the town council request many of construction works for refilling those damage by Megumin spells so many of construction workers needed. WHAT THE FUNNIEST THING MAKE ME LOFL WHEN I SAW THIS!

This series is a bit weird, on surface it looks like light comedy, but it has depth in it. Genuine friendship, a hero that is nothing like usual OP hero in anime, but actually does quite heroic things when it matters etc. I can watch this for laughs and for deeper stuff as well. Definitely one of the best of anime.
