I actually really like that the documentary showed EVERY side of the process, the good, the bad and the ugly. The fights, the making up, the differences in opinions and personalities, the chemistry of the contestants. The growth! Sometimes I see groups who's image is so controlled and framed in a way that the members chemistry don't even seem real. It's as if they are painted with zero flaws 24/7, never allowed to have disagreements with each other or management and it just seems...disingenuous. I want to watch underdogs and rivals rise up and overcome. I also appreciated that the documentary showed the dark side of the training! It's truly not for the faint of heart. It really showed the endurance of the human spirit, and if people believe that the members do not have the capacity to forgive each other, squash their beef, and learn to love each other for their individuality...did we even watch the same documentary?

I sympathize with you but that is how cruel KPOP ENTERTAINMENT are. Some members have 4 vocalist who are also well versed at dancing and talented and there is somehow a filler member or sub member added for popularity boost. Not all individuals born with talent give you an edge at success. Charisma and Visuals are unrivaled because it can create buzz, drama, and attraction to protect the visual member. I would be mad if someone who work less than me is being promoted. But if you are the brand and face of the group who can leverage to attract more brand and popularity for the group, it's reasonable for some to do so. The idea of why not debut all talented members. The truth is, we need a member who is like vyery charismatic without singing or dancing, just insane visuals and moderate skills to attract audience.

the thing is that anger really didn’t have any reason to be directed at manon besides the frustration of her not showing up to group rehearsals because that’s the only thing Manon herself did that actually negatively impacted the girls/her teammates. She didn’t control fan voting, evaluations, exec opinions or decision making. It’s valid to be frustrated someone else isn’t trying as hard and succeeding, but it’s not like Manon had any say in advancing or having fan support. They should’ve been frustrated with the execs for putting them in a system where that can happen. that being said i blame none of the girls for their reactions, they are all young and still learning life isn’t fair and it’s completely normal to blame the people benefitting from unfairness rather than those who create the unfair system to begin with when you don’t grasp that fully. i do however blame the grown adults who can’t see the nuance of the situation.

Beyond that, if she hasn't consistently kept up with a better work ethic, there's not much they can do anyway. One reason I think she's still not keeping up with her end is that regardless of each member's level of interest in kpop the rest knew the choreo to Super Lady for Weekly Idol. Manon didn't even recognize the song. The other members didn't magically know the song without practicing. So how's it possible she didn't even know it all? She also has a remarquable role in the Art Film. But she has proven that she can sing and dance. She is talented. So that's okay for me. She really deserves to be in Katseye. I really like her even before the documentary. Only Manon has a husky and powerful voice. Moreover, Bang Sihyuk is not really looking for talent, he is looking for « star power » 🙈 In the end, Hybe and Geffen didn't produce Katseye for peace but for money. Adéla is very talented but viewers don't like her... So why chose a very talented person who is not bankable instead of a less talented person who can make $$$$$? It's unfair but it's not new. Hello? There are members in LE SSERAFIM who cannot sing well even if there are standing still... What can we expect from Hybe? lol. Kazuha, for example is still bad at singing. Same for Sakura. Manon has a strong online presence in Switzerland apart from being fine. Also if you haven't noticed Katseye's ending line up is diverse. Manon is representation for Blacks. Lastly, before the show started there was already a concept and a vague structure created in the minds of the companies. Manon just seemed to fit it more. Them not picking and favoring picking according to concept led to the uproar about basing a concept of one person. Y'all said they did that for Illit even though the concept was predecided. Honestly, I totally understand how and why the girls would feel like that. I don’t blame them at all for it either. When you’re only given part of the story instead of the whole thing, you’re bound to react to only what you know and see. I don’t think the company put any effort into telling Manon after the first few missed classes “hey, we know we just kinda pulled you off the street and you’re really new at this, but you need to be here” and make her understand the gravity of what she signed up for, or when she was actually sick, tell the other girls that so they aren’t stewing in animosity. The company was all about being upfront and not planting falsehoods into their heads and yet, they didn’t do any of that ON TOP of lying to the girls about not airing the interviews of the girls picking the members they wanted to debut with and never acknowledging or apologizing for it.

Me too. The lineup was made for the attraction for public popularity. Yes the lineup is talented. But none of the members anticipated that they themselves will debut with that lineup since Its all mix and match. Sophia and most candidates wanted ADELA in the first day on their lineup and realizing that the members have no full control of the lineup, everything looks forced to fit in the box. The documentary is honest and brutal but the lineup for me doesn't give justice since it's forced. Character dynamics are important not just solo stans What was the point of ranking if every Top are always predictable to debut in the first place.

Im sad that she left. She got everything to be in the group. But she chooses to leave. Respect to the girl ! But imagine what if they got her instead of Manon. She also had "it" factor (pretty face). Her face reminded me young Demi Lovato. She was able to dance well, and her voice is like an angel. And she has a work ethic. She is much better version of Manon with it factor and star quality.

@@nai110Nah, if you pay attention some of Manon's best singing is when someone is actually singing over her. In Buttons the camera stays on Manon finishing when Nayoung is singing. Just this week on Weekly Idol they pull Manon up to sing but she chooses Lara to sing "with" her. I choose that word lightly because Lara carried the whole song while Manon did some sort of shimmy off to the side. Manon isn't introverted like people have claimed or used as an excuse for a variety of reasons, but her personality test shows she's extroverted. So why is she not showcasing these incredible singing skills her fans claim she has...? I'm not even sure Manon sung live at the time, it almost looked like they edited to make it look like she sang a tiny bit before letting Lara carry the rest. Regardless, she doesn't seem to have the passion for performing, and it doesn't help the documentary ended with her saying to Dani as soon as they won,"We're famous now!" It comes across like she just wants to be famous. People don't mention it much, but it's one of those little things that gives a clue what a person is really thinking.
@nai110Ай бұрын
@@NickaLah 1- In the beginning of button you can very well hear Manon singing by herself and that is the part that went viral on tiktok so you’re wrong lmao. 2- She didn’t "choose" Lara to sing with her. They were singing in groups, Sophia, yoonchae and Dani sung together then Manon and Lara. Sophia and Lara are clearly trained vocalist so their voices naturally sounded more dominant over the others. People were saying how Sophia was all you could hear in the first group, does that mean that Dani and Yoonchae can’t sing? Bfr💀 Also the way Manon lower register still shone so much but I guess some of us (you) lack the musical ear to understand layered harmonies. 3- What does someone personnality have to do with their comfortability to showcase talent ? You’ve been pulling things out of your ass throughout your whole comment but this take the cake. 4- ”I’m not sure Manon sung live at the time" girly you’re clearly not a vocal expert. Give it up. 5- Manon was scouted by the company, she didn’t apply. Hybe went to look for her in Switzerland. Manon had no idea what kpop even was in the beginning. So what if she just wanted to be famous ? Is it a bad thing ? She clearly has star power and has amassed a huge following so no wonder she wanted to be famous, she was made to be.

The biggest issue I had with the show was literally everything to do with Mitra and the executives. They lied to those girls about how the 6 finalists would be determined and about the survival how aspect, which they then sprang on them without warning when none of them had signed up for that. The eliminations were awful and horrible to watch and Mitra (I'll fight this woman if I ever see her) clearly did not care about how thee girls are being effected. Sure, that eliminations got views, but that's not always a good thing when it makes your whole company look cold and callous. Like, they're supposed to protect their girl- even if they're just trainees. None of them were mature enough to deal with that on their own and you can see it in how they break down during every second of that awful robot screen telling them who is going home or not.

When you’re young and learning about the world and entertainment business, it’s not perfect, It’s reality. people succeed, some fail, some overcome. People make mistakes and learn to foster growth. They learn how to lead and how to lean on others. To imagine how they establish empathy and how to be proactive on the care for each other is important.
