A rundown on a neat digital clock boasting vintage parts in design. Designed and built or provided as a kit in the USA, this gem is a show piece. Visuals include an animated frequency scaling section for the time base, binary counting and of course the Nixie tubes. The tubes are the IN-12A Soviet Nixies with the upside down "2" used as a "5". As I played more with this it turns out that when using the setting buttons, they are intended to be held and the settings then change at 1 Hz increments. So the user should not pulse the buttons but actually hold them for desired changes.
