Love the use of Zess Dynamite in all of these. Zess T. is such a powerful chef/explosives-maker, and her bitterness towards Mario for having crushed her contacts is so strong that her fury is channeled whenever one detonates 🧨 Takes a lot of ingredients to make one, but you could also just scum the Happy Lucky Lottery lol

The level is simulated by only upgrading BP and only equipping badges to the max BP for the desired level

Look at the max BP. Mario actually is at a very high level, but only levels BP and is using the amount of BP that would have been available if he was a lower level.

the level 5 and 4 strats seem decently impossible to get the resources for with that level (the second Double Dip is only found on 60F of the Pit) and I'm pretty sure level 3 is about the minimum *with glitches* in the GC release... nope, can't happen

The way most veteran players play the game is by only ever upgrading badge points on level ups, since hp or fp upgrades can be done via badges as well

The fight IS tough if you don’t end it quickly. Beldam can lower Mario’s turn count, increase her allies turns, make them big, make you small, poison you, freeze etc. Marylin is also tough because she can charge multiple times, her lightning pierces defense, and it cannot be superguarded. Dooplis is there. He’s only as strong as he was in chapter 4 the timing on his attacks are just unusual.

I remember him saying he runs away like a sissy, but I don’t remember him bringing his HP to 0. I referred to him whenever I got stuck somewhere in the game, but anyway, I guess I’ll take your word for it.

You can beat any boss before phase 2, just use charge and ground pound for tons of damage
