FSG in my opinion, although sometimes questionable, they have run the club properly. The club is financially stable, sponsorship attractive, commercially brilliant, they have a state of the art training facilities, 60,000+ Stadium upgrade at its home. Selling to the wrong person could lose its soul. Don't get me wrong, oil money looks attractive, but at what cost does that come at?

We can only dream of it happening anytime soon, but I can't personally see it happening anytime soon especially where I saw it from by ex Everton & Villa CEO Keith Wyness, who came out saying from one of them joke website articles about it putting two on two together with FSG & Saudi PIF about PGA Tour & LIV Golf situation for last few months now. But John Henry isn't getting any younger and looking more miserable each passing day owning this club in my opinion.

it makes sense considering lack of contracts offered to Salah and VVD. On the other side it means that Trent has decided to leave. Him leaving will be big blow to their sell out value. Also Man city case will make them think twice about owning PL club to anyone not capable to compete with them as FFP will be put to bed one way or the other.

I think FSG will see how well or not Slot does before they do anything. It is worth bearing in mind Trent's situation and the fact Mo and Virgil's contracts are also up in the air, plus they're not getting any younger. FSG will jump once they sense we might be on a down turn, or maybe they'll see whether MC get charged.

@@robbiekop7 I hear ya. The issue is that whilst sovereign Nations bring sensitive issues with their cash, who else is in a situation to have $6bn spare to bung on a football club? The only ones outside of sovereign Nations are the likes of FSG or Boehly and his consortium, or even the Glazers at United. I don't like FSG myself, but I'd rather have them than someone like Boehly, that honestly has no clue what he's doing, or the Glazers that take millions in dividends out of the club. If someone (a consortium) is out there is willing to splash that much on a football club, they're only doing it to make huge profits. Those profits will have to come from somewhere, either in increased ticket prices, or increase in prices at Anfield (food/shop etc). It's got to come from somewhere.

I very much doubt FSG will be looking to sell what is probably the biggest global pull in their portfolio. The money we must make them by having our clubs name associated with other potential businesses they own or trying to add to their portfolio. Our club is too valuable to FSG as in their portfolio and expansion of that. I really can't see FSG selling our club completely, they might part sell but I can't see why they would want to lose such an asset to their portfolio and continual growth of that.

Get well soon, Dunc...nothing worse than a chest infection. I'm with you on all of this, everything that is a business always has it's price. I can't see FSG selling at the moment as Liverpool is a cash cow for them. FSG are more interested in their venture with the PIF and LIV Golf at the moment from anything I read. Luckily, i'm not on X or FB as it's all a load of nonsense. If FSG sell I think it will be the Saudis that buy us. There have always been rumours about the Saudis who bought Newcastle and how it was Liverpool they really wanted and still want. They can't own both clubs but they aren't daft, they have more global reach with Liverpool than they do with the Geordies so it could happen one day.

@MaseLFC yes but that's nor what that initial comment was saying though, it was about wanting mega rich owners so we can spend whatever we want on players, which I was pointing out isn't how it works. I'm 100% in agreement with you that FSG should be more proactive in the transfer market, perfect example was the last window, we had one main target for one position, failed to bring him in (not the clubs fault this one) but then not have option B,C or D is unacceptable. They have went into yet another season praying for no injuries in certain positions like the number 6 role and the CB role, because if we do then we can basically right off any chance we did have of competing for the title or champions league. Yes I don't want owners like Chelsea that's just buying stupid amounts of players in every position but we were clearly needing a CB and number 6 brought in to strengthen the squad, cover in case of key injuries and of course give our new manager the midfielder that's vital to his system. It's just by sheer luck Gravenberch has been doing so well their but if he was to get injured, who plays there instead? I'd definitely agree we need owners with more ambitions.

Great video as always Dunk and that house analogy is spot on, especially in Business and with Americans. You might say your house is definitely not for sale, but if someone comes up and says 'I've got 1.5m that I'll spend on it' you'll probably change your mind 😂 If the right offer is there to make a few bob, anything is for sale at any time. Everyone has a price. Also, as soon as you publicly say (exactly same situation with transfers) 'We want/need to sell' you chuck a massive amount of your negotiating strength and valuations right out the window. So why would FSG want that to get remotely out there as a serious consideration. Its all a game. Some people on X etc. acting like it's when you sell a motor on AutoTrader or something ffs 😂
