They were always sold out. Millions of soldiers died in WW1, the ones that survived returned to a Britain of slums, poverty, mass unemployment, the Great Depression. The elites who start the wars never cared. Look at all the homeless veterans on the streets. It's just like it was 100 years ago. Nothing really changes. It's always lions lead by donkeys.

Me Welsh 🏴 grandad and his two brothers fought in WW1 in France and Belgium. One of his brothers lost an eye in battle, came home for an operation then returned to the front line in 1916. Me grandad’s younger brother was killed by a chunk of bomb shrapnel that missed me grandad by a couple of feet. If it had flown slightly to the right, me grandad would have been hit instead. Me grandad survived the war came home married me grandma and had me mum. I’m here now because of a piece of German shrapnel going one way not the other. These men ( boys really ) went through absolute hell for years and we should never forget them.
