Nice.. I'm itching to set up my FTA again, once weather gets warming... too cold outside to setup... hopefully I can use existing DishNet mounts on the roof with FTA dish pole, though the size might be different...

Looks to be a well designed unit. One could likely take the AV output and use it for audio only? The MeeCast, not for an Iphone, am guessing. Not like Tablo either? Cannot use the local network in the home to send out to remote TV sets? Do any of the FTA receivers allow this. Lots of questions for you. Really enjoy all your content. Keep up the great work. Am just beginning the hobby.

The AV out can certainly be used for audio. Meecast does have an iPhone app- look in the App Store. The Meecast app is for casting personal media to the set top box, not to cast satellite content to remote TV sets, to my knowledge. Thanks for watching my channel, any other questions, let me know.👍

How is this Koqit V5H compared to a GTmedia V9 Prime? Belive you have both. I Read one review of a german guy who said the Koqit was buggy, slow and crash so re returned it in fave for an GTmedia V9 Prime. They both about $30 from aliexpress.

The V9 is probably a bit smoother, but I haven’t had any problems with the V5H. Both decode H.265 video.

Good video. I wish someone would address closed captioning. Does this receiver support the EIA-608 and 708 CC standards for North America? It would be a deal killer if not.

Could you do a direct comparison of all the satellite boxes youve reviewed, where the signal from the lnb goes through a splitter to all the boxes at once and you see which one can pick up a weak transponder the best. Like, for one where your just on the edge of the footprint? Could do the same of OTA boxes too.

H.265 receivers can decode HEVC video, H.264 receivers can’t.

@@NorthcoasterHobby Astra here for Ireland, funny enough I have on the top box I am using when I hit record now its says record on the screen when I go to look for the recordings they don't show up only all the recordings up to the 3rd of January maybe the hard drive is full but how come no message saying that ???

@@CSXRailfan6588 Assuming the dish is aimed correctly-make sure the Local Oscillator frequency (LI frequency) is set correctly for C-band in your receiver menu. Look on the label of the LNB. It will either be 5150 MHz or 5150-5750 MHz. If this is not set correctly then the receiver miscalculates the intermediate frequencies of the channels.

I live near a cellphone tower both my UHF antenna and Ku Band LNBs have 4G Filter and don't I have problems even with 5G signal and I have excellent reception on both satellite and UHF DTV.
