Phulia weavers
Phulia weavers developed their own version of the Dhakai, called “Tangail Jamdani,” and a combination of Shantipur and Tangail styles called the “Fulia Tangail”.

Phulia weavers introduced human figures into their designs, which they call "figure jamdani". They also made their designs more curvilinear.
Weaving process
Both men and women are involved in the pre-weaving process of preparing the yarn. The work is often shared as a family or collective enterprise.
