Watch those Krank hooks they are SOOOO sharp, guaranteed to not only catch carp but the odd finger too! Nice video.

Hi mate the best Idea is cut the boom at a angal and then it's more easyer the put the crimps on

El boom hay que enderezar estirando con dos puller.

Hi Darryl, I use it on a Heli set up myself. If I used it on a lead clip I'd make the boom a little longer

Make sure you use the right krimps with boom as the old ones will break ! The new ones are copper and work much better 👍
@johneturbo7 жыл бұрын
Good point, hopefully all the new krimps are the newer ones now

Cut the boom line diagonally and it will slip into the crimps better.

Been making these myself but pushing the crimp right up to the swivel as per instruction on back of crimping tool, to stop it slipping. Do you think it's better to leave a bit of a loop to allow the swivel to move? Cheers Adam.
@johneturbo6 жыл бұрын
Hey Adam, The Korda guys used them with a loop at both ends. I've been using them with loops at both ends of the boom, and I've had fish up to 35lb no problem. I like the loops for extra movement. I aways give the boom a good pull with pulla tools to make sure it's all good.

Johneturbo cheers I'm now putting 2 crimps on as mine just to be sure and am leaving a bit of a loop at both ends.
@johneturbo6 жыл бұрын
I think the crimps changed recently, I can't remember exactly the reason. might be worth looking into as you might have the older crimps.
@170adamb16 жыл бұрын
Johneturbo I'm probably worrying too much. Can make them slip quite easily with pullers but is probably more pressure than a fish will put on em with drag set right etc

Do you use this on a lead clip or helicopter set up?
@michaelradford3734 жыл бұрын
So much putty!! Way to much want it sinking slowly rather than dropping like a lead.
@gertmeering62707 жыл бұрын
Nice , better use the ''fox kwik change pop-up weights'' instead of putty..... it looks better en works better.
@johneturbo7 жыл бұрын
The good thing with the putty is you can add more or less easily, also it sticks on the crimp nicely

The only thing I don’t like about this rig is the rip-off price of the pliers, could you get away with using a standard pike pliers used to make up wire traces?
@johneturbo4 жыл бұрын
Joss. I know what you are saying. but i wouldn't trust anything else to crimp them. especially on my lake where bites are few and far between! i'd be gutted to loose a fish because it wasn't crimped right. I guess you could try and see how it hold ups when you give it a good tug oh-er
@Enpassantful4 жыл бұрын
@@johneturbo Thanks for the reply, pike pliers have the same grooves in them so should work exactly the same, nothing ventured as they say. 👍

If you do a demo ,make sure it's all in shot or it's pointless
@johneturbo7 жыл бұрын
which bit wasn't in shot? the only bit i can think of is when I crimped down the end, however, I'm sure you don't need a demo on how to use a crimp tool lol
@mattholmes25896 жыл бұрын
Pretty much the same as a ronnie rig
@Commander_Krill7 жыл бұрын
Far to much going on with that rig

What exactly do you mean? can you explain what you mean by far too much going on . ?
