Korda terminator Darrell Peck is an angler who has experienced it all in his angling, in this Carp Fishing Masterclass, Darrell reveals everything you need to know how to fish well during your next Summer session.
With the Summer in full swing, Darrell targets two open-access venues. The first being Linear Fisheries, St. John’s Lake and the second being Norton Disney’s Holdens Lake.
With the venues of choice being accessible Day Ticket Fisheries in the UK, Darrell covers everything; from locating Carp, through to finding small spots to present your chosen rigs and bait on and also what is needed to be able to apply bait accurately, regardless of the depth of water or weather conditions.
Applying similar tactics on both venues, but with varying applications, Darrell proves that if you stick to tried and trusted tactics, take your time to locate the Carp and fish effectively you can make your next trip a successful one.
Whether you are a newcomer to the sport looking to learn some principles to become a successful angler, or someone experienced looking to hone certain skills there is a little something in this film for everyone.
Darrell ends up enjoying some great fishing on both venues, using a variety of tactics, proving what can happen when you do the simple things right.
Whilst this session was filmed here in the UK, the tactics used will work at a wide variety of different waters and will help you catch more carp, home and abroad.

As mentioned in the film the swims were roped off the evening before we arrived. Not days in advance and certainly not baited for weeks before our arrival as some in the comments here would have you believe. Obviously we are towing a film crew and we are working within a time frame to get the job done, but we are 100% transparent, everything explained and nothing ever hidden. We make loads of films where we turn up, find a swim on arrival and as you can imagine there is still always some negative comments from people talking nonsense. Unfortunately this is the era we live in 😅

Facked if you do! Facked if you don’t 🤣 the troll comments probably only come from jealousy . Don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty jealous of you lads doing what you do . But not gonna slate you for having some perks . Most people at the top of their game have perks in the job they do .

Can't believe people wanting you to just show up with a huge camera crew is bs. Its like asking a cinema film making crew to just show up to a random road to film. Ignore them and keep doing what your doing.

I've started carp fishing 2 months ago. I didn't know anything about it. Tactics, rigs, how carp behave, really almost nothing. You guys are doing an amazing job. I started with ready done rigs and everything, now i can do it all by myself. I always go just from sunset to sundown, since i still have to buy all the camping gear so i can stay overnight. But i got myself some nice fish. 3 20+ pounders and one over 30 in a local water where people mostly catch 10-20 pound carps (a lot of them) and only every now and then (maybe once a month) a 20+ pops up. Some would say it's just luck but i believe that everything i've learned from this channel is the reason the fish landed in my net. The whole korda team and this channel is years ahead of any other carp fishing channels on YT imo and i just want to thank you for all the the amazing videos you are producing, especially the how to and masterclass videos you've made!

Brilliant video Darrell / Korda . The masterclass videos are to help everyone and give great solid content anyone can use or tweak to suit themselves not just snippets of info (secret squirrel) that leave folk wondering how/why etc. Even if the venue is taped off or put under cotton wool , it's for OUR benefit because the fantastic video footage/content brings carp fishing to everyone just like when Danny started he wanted carp fishing for all not just secret pockets, hence why the brand is bullet proof and all the Korda workforce from the very top to the bottom are committed to the cause . Flawless as always Korda , Thankyou. Steve M

Good vid with some useful tips🙂Lots of people here whinging about the fishery reserving Darrell a peg. Bit silly and naive to be offended by this-been going on for donkeys years in angling films and is perfectly acceptable IMO. Korda throw staff time and a lot of money at filming projects like this so of course they’re going to need a decent peg to film on. They’re even 100% honest about it too, so I fail to see why people are so bothered🤷🏻‍♂️. Only question I’ve got is what was the diameter of the rope……😉

When darrel uses the kontour fluorocarbon does he put any backing on before? With it only coming in 200 meter spools I’d presume this doesn’t fill his reel spool all the way to the top being a big pit basia? Great video as always 👍

@KordaTV but still has 1 of the best swims saved there would still of been swims available as I said its a nice video but it's extremely unrealistic you arnt turning up to a day ticket and just dropping in a swim like that, I mean granted you lot had the same on brasenose a number of years ago and I was there and had again swims roped of silly amounts of bait went in and mr f and Mr dove struggled like hell so I do see it doesn't always go in favour but just films like this are just sales pitches and unrealistic apart from that fun to watch just be nice if it was in a real world 👍

I don’t understand the people chatting shite tbh, yeah they roped off a swim, but if you were trying to make a film and paying a camera crew why would you risk a rubbish shoot by getting a shit swim on a very busy complex, it doesn’t matter if the swim was roped off or not the film still shows exactly how to apply good angling practice in that situation, and if everyone is that fussed about ‘no privileges’ there are a metric ton of those videos on Korda’s page. Genuinely baffles me how low some people’s IQ is to have some of these silly opinions, blatant ignorance and jealousy clearly as they can’t seem to catch as well as the anglers shown in Korda’s films. The people who slate big companies for stuff like this talk utter bollocks, they can keep their temu and ngt gear and catch less carp because of it, I’ll keep using quality gear and watching quality films as they each help people catch more carp

What’s the point in this video? Sorry but I turned off as soon as the “roped off” bit was mentioned. Other than you guys using You tube as a sales platform, what’s the point of this video? It’s not a realistic fishing trip. As another comment reads, “ turn up at 4:30 onwards on a Friday and video that” It’s amazing how not 1 You Tube fishing creator has done that.( as far as I know ) I love fishing vlogs etc, but they are SOOO FAKE , and unrealistic. We could all catch like that. It’s proven that catching is all about location! I ask myself if you guys actually watch back these videos and listen to yourselves . Waffling about conditions and baiting and seeing fish blah blah. In a roped off swim…. What are you actually trying to get across in this video, to us viewers, coz I think you lot must think we’re all bloody stupid. Privileges don’t make good anglers I’m afraid .

Darrell is a great angler, but some people would copy this down to the socks he's wearing, run off to their local lake and struggle with a bite.. Most people don't fish on a lake with 900 big carp in them, and the amount of people I've seen simply give up carpfishing due to the failure of experience, and the expectations to do as shown on film is alot.. The process of struggle, and perseverance is never shown in your otherwise great films, and for a new angler, this does not paint a realistic picture of commen carpfishing, because they don't know any better..

If a new angler expects to rock up and have a session like an experienced professional they are asking for disappointment🤣🤣 anyone expecting that result is only kidding themselves, should take the information given and apply it but never expect to be able to recreate what happens in films done by seasoned experts

Clear jealousy shown here hahahah, just because darrel catches more fish doesn’t mean that his swim was baited for days beforehand, you can’t expect them to rock up with a film crew and drop in the first swim available with no fish in it, how are they meant to make an informative film by doing that??

Spent a large portion of my childhood with my grandad and uncles fishing week in week out. I don’t understand this new modern angler Jargon, fucking painful to listen to.
