When we went on a trip to Japan for a few days I was surprised because people there have so much TRUST. They just leave their bikes without a chain/lock before going to work/riding the train, and there are umbrella sharing services where there's an umbrella storage near each train station, and you can just take one if it's raining and then drop it off at a different umbrella storage near a different train station once the rain stops... here in this country, my sister went to the library for 2 hours and when she came outside to pick up her umbrella it was gone LOL

Ps the reason it hasnt happened and not gojng to happen in the states is because we have a gang/gun phenomenon. 8 year old kids being indoctrinated into the gang life and killing 20-30 ppl by the time they are 10 years old. Thats what we are dealing with in the states. If they aren't open 24 then they are open until 4am, so waking up late or in the middle of the night and going to a convenience store to get food happens a lot and the food at those stores is really high quality. For reference a night out in Korea doesn't usually start until about 9 or 10pm and usually ends around 9am the next day. So you commonly find people out at all times and commonly going to places like this to eat :) hope this helps!

When I lived in Korea I would go to CU or GS at like 2am just because I could. I would also sometimes do my laundry at 12am because I could and no one was in there so I could use the massage chairs as long as I wanted lololol.

I am not from Korea, and as an Aussie, it is definitely not normal to use a store microwave in an aisle to cook a meal.
