Hey folks! Thank you so much for 2 million subscribers! Here’s a compilation with new stories included. Videos will be a little thin on the ground this month, I’m suffering from burnout so I’ve applied the breaks for a short while - but I’ve got some genuinely unique stories coming up and I’ll be adding more personal snippets at the end of them! Love you guys, Adrian and Nero ☕️ 🐾

Congratulations! It's crazy to think when I found your channel there were only a couple of videos on here, you've grown quickly and it's well deserved! "True Crime" is something that I originally hated the idea of because of the serial killer fans, but you've turned me around wildly to realize that there are people in the genre that are kind and empathetic regarding the cruel reality of crime. Please, as you tell us, take care of yourself and don't let the pressure of popularity worry you about quality. We all would rather you be happy in your life doing what you love than stressed to the point of making it a job. You're doing great, and thank you for your dedication!

Love your videos, Adrien. Quality every time. Just a side note - I wouldn't say it is "unfortunate" (as you did at 3:40) when a victim's name isn't released to the public. The family can always choose to release the name should they wish to, but laws protecting victims exist for a good reason.
@Annie6404 ай бұрын
I think he just meant it as in, because the identity isn’t released, he isn’t able to highlight and honor their lives. I do think it’s greatly unfortunate that the perpetrator’s identity is withheld though. I don’t think they deserve the dignity and it puts others at greater risk.

I really appreciate how you give the victims an identity, something a lot of other content creators in this genre don't. However, I am and will always be against the death penalty. A friend of mine said it best when he said "killing the man who split my brothers head in two with an axe will not bring my brother back".
@twintasticboys3499Ай бұрын
I have many mixed feelings about the death penalty. I think if I had a loved one murdered, especially a child, I would want the killer dead, involving revenge and justice. And if I were 100 % against the death penalty who am I to deny this result for the families involved? I know it cant bring any person back but it may bring a sense of relief to the families. We are all so different in our feelings andmine might be very different if I was really in such an awful position !!

Idk but in the last video I watched, he kept mispronouncing fairly easy words, like say 'envelope' ✉️ instead of 'envelop' as in to surround something. It happened with a few other words too, and was quite odd. I just figured he didn't care if it sounded right or not.

South Korea is a fantastic country, and the people are truly wonderful, but it has very different social expectations and ways of operating socially than we are used to in the West. It's incredibly important to attain top grades in school and university. The competition to get a top university place is unreal and disappointing your parents and family a huge social no no. Young people are expected to be very conventional, and rebelling and carving your own path or being a "free spirit" are unheard of. Exams to get good jobs are super tough, and students are expected to achieve 99% in tests, etc, and failure is tough, really tough. If you can achieve in the socially acceptible way the rewards are wonderful and its a very sophisticated country, but if you fail, its bleak and dire. The psychology of South Koreans is very different to Westerners and the pressures young Koreans face making their way in life isn't the same as ours in many respects and so it can be very hard for us to decipher the actions of those who don't fit in to their society. Honestly, I'm surprised that more young so-called "misfits" don't pop with violent results. I had a lot of Korean friends who had come over to study at Masters level in the UK and found learning about their society and culture absolutely fascinating. It's just so different to ours! Those Korean folk were some of the loveliest, most hard-working decent folk I have ever met in my life, and it's a very safe country. Though when people pop and commit crimes, they really are under so much pressure that they pop in a very dramatic way, committing some truly gruesome crimes.

Adrian, are you trying a new AI voice narrator, using your own voice? Just curious. Because there are times throughout this (for full stories, but no t the full video) where it sounds like you, but differently. Anyway, only asking cos I noticed this and i know lots of other creators are trialling AI translation using their own voice (its obviously much easier to just create the narrator/text-to-speech in our own voice compared to creating a Text-to-Speech Translator. Regardless, thanks for another great vid, make sure you give Nero a licky treat for us (your viewers) please 👌🏻🥰👏🏻💕💕

Just because they're the "whiter" and friendlier ones doesn't change the fact that they have family right across the line and that both sides want a safe end to the war. Upon independence, the USA decided it was necessary to divide the country and kill off the pro-unity opposition. Know your history. The podcast Blowback is a good start.

I cannot understand laws that prohibit releasing names of dead people, especially victims? It erases them & who they identified as. I get it if maybe it's an ongoing case & has to do with catching the killer if they have a suspect(s) & select reasons, but giving someone a name that wasn't there's feels the same as giving them a number. It's the same as Jane/John Doe when you have their actual names & have a law that mandates you don't use their name. Your legacy lives on by those that remember you, your name, & tell your story to others, not by blood. Legacy by blood often comes to an end, but the legacy of the individuals & who they were & their names lives on in the stories people pass on by knowing their story & their name. Just naming someone from history, one knows the story or can learn it. But without a name, it's hard to find to even know/remember they existed if one cannot find their story to read. I tried to look up the name of someone who was kidnapped/sexually assaulted/murdered (an Amber alert was issued so for days I was hoping she would be okay) right outside my school & it took hours of digging to finally find it & I was looking so I could remember her name because I still remember her story, but can't tell others her story without her name so they could read/see/hear too & keep her alive & loved in memory & legacy. I visited her memorial site where she was abducted every day as much as I could on my way home from school &/or to school. I didn't know her, but I still cried & cared & she didn't deserve what happened & deserved to be remembered. Her name was Heather Thomas, she died fighting at 10 years old.
