Lotte World is one of the popular school picnic place for students and I think they want to go back to their student time when they after becoming adults, so they love to wear school uniforms(especially woman) in 롯데월드. anyway you guys back in Korea again! The balloon ride looked awesome to get a great skyview of the place. Indoor theme parks sound like a great idea, wouldn't matter what the weather was. It does look beautiful with lots of little details. Reservation systems are pretty nice if it helps avoid standing in line for hours. Single riser lines are the best! All the snacks looked so good!

Picked the perfect time of the year to visit because that area has one of the best Cherry Blossoms in Seoul, and they were blossoming when you were there! I live in one of the high rise towers right next to that place. I go there everyday, because it's just a walk away and one can do everything from grocery shopping, buy luxury goods, watch movies, go ice skating, (if you have the hotel gym membership workout, go swimming, practice golf, and take a sauna) and dine out. That place is designed to suck your money because it offers everything. Where did you guys go for lunch or dinner there? There are some decent dining options available inside and right next to the Lotte World Tower at the Sofitel Hotel. If you love pancakes, that area has three of the best pancake houses in Korea are all right there: Bill's (Australian chain), Butter Finger Pancake (Korean chain that is I think over 20 years old now), and the Original Pancake House (American chain. I've been to the ones in American and the ones in Korea are better.) Also, for bagels the London Bagel Shop is worth going. Not quite New York style bagels, but very good in its own special way. But the line is really long. As for doughnuts...personal opinion, but don't bother with the really popular and famous place in the Lotte World Tower, better doughnuts available in America. Not worth spending time in line. *As for the school uniforms someone else explained it very well, and actually right now I am seeing a bunch of tour buses with the very school kids that were mentioned coming to Lotte World daily.

So happy that you have enjoyed Seoul. I was there too at the same time as you ! You definitely have to go to any convenience store or to subway station and buy you T-money card which is like a digital Wallet. You have to pay with cash only. Then you can use it for subway, bus, convenience stores and even for motorway tolls. Moreover you can use the same card in any other cities in Korea. If you take bus then a subway train, you only pay once. But when you get off a bus you have to beep it again.

Lotte Group was founded in Japan by a Korean in the early 1940s. so Korean think it's not a complete Korean company, but a Japanese company, so They were hated every time they have a bad relationship with Japan. During THAAD incident, the site of the THAAD base was provided by Lotte, and even though it suffered great losses, it was not possible to receive any sympathy because of the influence of excessive anti-Japanese education. However, this group has given many benefits and pride to Koreans. The name Lotte comes from Charlotte, the heroine of young Werther's sorrow.

Pronounce the "o" as "oh" in "oh no" and you get Lohtte World.

@@JacobandJennyTravel yw. You can do the same thing when you see the vowels a, e, and I, also. pronounce "a" as "ah", "e" as "eh", "i" as "ih". When you see "u", pronounce it as "ooh" and when you se "eo" proounce it as "uh" (as in uh huh). So, here are some words to give examples. bibimbap (bih bihm bahp), no le bang (noh leh bahng). It's not100% exact, but it will get you as close to the pronunciations as possible using English as a reference.
