The fragrance of the new formulation is practically 'fragrance free' when compared to the original formula's lovely but obvious fragrance. I am near the end of a bottle of the green glass original formula. Bought a bottle of the new formulation. Not yet used it.

Thank you. I love this serum, but do not need agreen tea serum with HA serum with a lot of fragrance. I would have loved if they used a better humectan. I will unfortunately need to find another green tea serum with a high amount of green tea 😢

Hi Ulrike! Thank you so much for this review! It was so helpful! My skin has reacted badly to HA in the past so I'm on the fence as well as the essential oils feel unnecessary but I loved the original. I was wondering if you know of any other green tea seed serum that are comparable to the original Innisfree formula?

I never tried the original, so it would be hard for me to find a comparable product! Benton makes a green tea serum that could be something to try, though it does also contain HA. But, it is fragrance free!

I was on the fence about getting this because I loved the original, but I trust your review and I am not sensitive to essential oils, so I'll get this once I finish the one I have. This serum is perfect for makeup, honestly... an OG makeup serum for that glowy effect.

I've been using it a lot lately and really like it so much as a hydrating serum with a bit of a plumping effect. Honestly, every INNISFREE reformulation I've tried so far has been amazing!

Love this! I’m also interested to hear about non-Korean skincare products that you love that are also available to us in the US! I’d love to know more about small or lesser known brands that the skincare community in the US hasn’t “discovered” yet lol

That would be a fun topic! I want to do a video on French pharmacy products that aren't as well known as the ones always being recommended, and I'd love to show some German drugstore products I love. But, I am not sure the latter would be available to people in the US, hmmm. Also, lately I've been hearing interesting stuff about Polish beauty products!

Ulrike, you should totally do a German Beauty video! Especially the urea creams (Balea, Eucerin, Sebamed) and the Eucerin sunscreens! A few not so popular K beauty brands with products I like: Papa recipe (the masks and sunscreen), Cos de Baha (it's the Korean version of The Ordinary), Mamonde (especially the hibiscus ceramide cream), S Nature (the cream), and The Lab by Blanc Doux

How do you use it do you put it on after cleaning your face or do you use it before putting on your makeup?

Just like a regular hydrating serum, it's not a primer, so after cleanser and toner and before moisturiser.

I'm with you, I really love Amorepacific formulas. They have always seem to work for me. I'm also glad you said what you said about fragrance because while I empathize with those sensitive to it, to reject it outright for the sake of rejecting it, to me, seems similar to hysteria around parabens.

I love Amorepacific products, your should try their makeup too (Hera, Be Ready, Laneige) and the sunscreens. One of my all time favorites from them is the Sulwhasoo line

Great review. All this fuss about oils and fragrances...There is one beauty influencer who absolutely loses it if a product contains either...she will grade products from one to ten and it can be an Excellent product but she'll push it down to a 6 because it has fragrance which I feel is really unfair, that's her own personal bias. She'll say this product is Perfect but......

This is one of my pet peeves, so many "science" based influencers dismiss really great products just because they contain fragrance! If you're not sensitive, there is no need to avoid fragrance imo. It only triggers me when it's super intense/too much, personally. So for me, fragrance isn't a negative in and of itself. However, I do feel bad when I introduce a fragranced product knowing so many of my followers avoid it. Sigh.

@@UlrikeScherer Geeze all this fragrance free etc. is relatively new to the main stream. I used to use alot of french brands..tell the french to leave the fragrance out!...and Chanel, always has the Chanel smell. I think it can lend an elegance to a product.

I've never tried it actually, I know it's very popular in Korea for sensitive and dry skin!
