I totally agree with you on the Anua toner. To me it felt like nothing on the skin, but the numbuzin toner and the round lab are on a whole other level. Also I just tried the haruharu sunscreen and it's perfect for my combination/oily skin. I want to try the Anua sunscreen too !

I absolutely understand your point of view, I have been using Korean products for more than 8 years and there is a huge selection of products that are much more interesting than those that are viral on Tik Tok at a better price and for different skin conditions. A hug from Chile 🌷

Yay, a new video! Love this alternatives list. I wonder if people don't think Korean skincare does anything because of the difference in approach from Western skincare. I see Korean skincare taking a more holistic approach and going more gently yet very effectively as compared to the stronger, faster approach we often see in the west.

I think it's also because they often try only one product and then maybe it doesn't work and BAM all K-beauty doesn't work!

Le gasp!!!! I have that haruharu sunscreen! It’s the first k beauty sunscreen I bought. I’ve since somehow accumulated 4 others. Will have to make sure they aren’t the heavier ones as I also have combo skin.

Hi Ulrike! Thanks for the lesser hyped alternatives. After following a number of youtubers for several years and creating a very long routine, I have come up with a simpler (and more affordable) regime for my dry 63 y.o. skin. Favorite toner atm is 9 Wishes Rice 72% - White Lucent Refining Toner and sunscreen is Numbuzin No.1 Clear Filter Sun Essence. Another gem I seldom hear mentioned is Isntree's Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream. Thanks for all the great content.

Oh, the moist cream brings back memories, I adored it back when I discovered Isntree! They make the best Hyaluronic acid products, the toners are also so excellent, though I haven't tried the new version yet.

Subscribed so you get free stuff. I’m German in California and have recently discovered K beauty. After one month my skin is looking so good. I like your style and honesty. I’m sure there are brands out there that are willing to risk a not so glowing review. 🤣

Ah, that's so kind! I do get sent PR sometimes, just not very often. The Haruharu sunscreen was actually a PR sample, but the brand is super lovely. So happy K-beauty is helping your skin! Viele Grüße aus der Heimat! :D

I haven’t tried Anua toner or Numbuzin #1 you recommend. But my fail proof soothing toner is Tiam Vita B5. I stopped using it for a while experimenting with other products and when I got back to it again my skin immediately felt relieved, soothed and no longer dehydrated. Also am a fan of Haruharu chemical sunscreen and vouch for cosrx propolis line

Oh I forgot about how great Tiam is, somehow I haven't used their products for ages! They used to make this pink bubble mask that I was obsessed with!

I'm a little sad that people don't remember the Dear, Klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Toner anymore. I only remember it being talking about on KZbin like 6 or 7 years ago and I still think its an incredible toner for people like me that are allergic to a lot of things and don't do that well with oils or fragrances and whatnot in their products.

Oh I LOVE the Klairs unscented toner, it is a wonderful product! I reviewed it on my blog when it came out, I remember it well. So gentle and so plumping!

Have you used any of the Medi-peeleel Peptide products? the MEDI-PEEL - Peptide 9 Volumne Biotox Ampoule Pro? YesStyle has a little set for inexpensive of the line an wondered if you've heard anything about it. Has about 5 peptide products. Is Medi-peel a good brand? I've not heard much about them in the states.

I think that European sunscreens are superior in terms of UVA protection then Asian sunscreens. Often stating the PPD number. I never feel quite protected in Korean sunscreens. Am I wrong? I'd love to know. It's much harder to get European sunscreens in the U.S. and easy to get Korean sunscreens. If I want La Posey Anthelios sunscreens I have to be very careful Not to get the U.S. Version as the filters are terrible. What do you think? Thanks Much
@UlrikeScherer8 ай бұрын
Ah, this is such a complex issue! Labmuffin has talked a lot about this idea that Korean sunscreens aren't as strong and good as European ones, and really, Korean sunscreens are definitely high protection and safe. The ONLY sunscreens that offer stronger protection are Australian sunscreens, because Aussies have extremely high UV rates (I lived in NZ, my prematurely aging skin can attest to the UV strength there!). Now, having said this: Korean sunscreens are very cosmetically elegant and spread extremely well, which is lovely for everyday use BUT it means very often, we subconsciously don't use as much as we should. Also, the K-sunscreens we get in the West usually aren't sweat- or waterproof like most EU sunscreens are, so if we are out in the full sun, sweating, doing sports, at the beach, they likely won't offer good protection. So my rule of thumb as a European usually is: for everyday use, Korean sunscreens are amazing, but if I am out in the sun a lot, on vacation, hiking, etc., I always use EU sunscreens. They are usually stickier and heavier than Korean ones, so I don't like them as much based on texture. I hope this helps! Labmuffin has amazing science-backed content about sunscreens if you want more chemical knowledge on this!

@@UlrikeScherer Are they made with the same filters as European sunscreens?
@UlrikeScherer8 ай бұрын
@@sfkat It's impossible to make a blanket statement about this since every sunscreen has a different formula and there are various filters on the market.

@sfkat I completely agree with you. No they are not the same . I have very sensitive skin and i live in Greece with very strong sun . So if my sunscreen is not enough my skin becomes red . I am always red with Korean sunscreen. I use all korean skincare expert sunscreen that i use only European. I prefer P20 ....the best ,the best .
@sfkat7 ай бұрын
@@ARGIRO248 Thank you!...I've not heard of P20 but I looked it up. Do you use the 50+? If it protects you in Greece it must be pretty good. I see on their site they have 2 new ones, an Urban Shield 50+ and the Hyper Pigmentation Defense 50+ Have you used either one of these? Thanks so much for the recommendation.
