I don't think Namjoon was insulting the Chinese team he was just rooting for the Korean team. I'm very shocked with all the hate Namjoon is getting just for rooting for his country. That's so shocking and wow. These people quickly judge what Namjoon did. He's just rooting for his country and didn't say anything horrible about the Chinese team. He only used emojis for his Instagram post and nothing else. Leave this guy alone. >:(

@lansc 2 жыл бұрын
For context, the guy Namjoon was innocently rooting for is a cheater who was very unsportsmanlike to the Chinese athlete.There is a slow mo video of the SK speed skater pushing others. Of course Namjoon is cheering for his country, but the problem is he can’t cheer for this man because he’s an absolute embarrassment of an Olympic athlete.

People internalize the Olympics too much. Someone rooting for their own country is not them dissing a different country. And, the entire pride of your country is not in the hands of a few olympians. You can be proud of your country no matter what, you don’t have to win the Olympics in order to be proud. 🙄 People take this shit too seriously when it’s never that deep. Like seriously? Hacking someone’s account over the Olympics? Get a life. And about Wonyoung: those don’t even look like dirty looks IMO. If it was a dirty look she would’ve squinted her eyes or furrowed her eyebrows, maybe even rolled her eyes; her face looks expressionless to me. Even if there was a “feud” we don’t know what happened behind the scenes and it’s probably just a petty, sisterly fight like how sisters butt heads. Unless someone’s well being is being threatened, we shouldn’t speculate about members relationships with one another. It’s dumb and leads to nothing but confusion and false assumptions. + It’s silly to think every member of every group gets along 100% of the time, of course there’s gonna be small fights or disagreements just like how anyone would have with their friends or family. We have to stop speculating about dumb, meaningless things.

Korean and Chinese netizens are hypocrites and very childish. Nothing wrong with both Ningning and Namjoon showing support to their country. The shouldn't be getting backlash for this. It's Xenophobic K netizens telling Ningning to go back home or not to work in Korea. You have Korean and Chinese people working in America, UK, Australia and if someone tell you this you will say it's racist so why do this to others.

Lmao that nose mask is ridiculous. Just like you said, if you're THAT cautious about catching COVID then just stay home and order food. I don't think IVE has a feud between the members, I just think it's a misunderstanding and if they don't get along all the time then that's okay, you can't expect them to be cool with each other 24/7. For the Olympics thing it's definitely bias judging but idols shouldn't be targeted because they can just be normal watchers like us and not hardcore fans that knows about every rule in the game. In the end I think people have too much time on their hands, some of it is justified but other times it's not for example analysing everything about a group members relationships and concluding that they're enemies over some 5 second video clips. Take care Grace 💞💞

I understand how people could misinterpret Wonyoung..but idk..the lip thing kind of threw me off 💀 There has been too many instances where Wonyoung has been “exposed” for doing shady things towards others and at this point I’m just starting to feel bad for her (if she’s truly innocent). But I don’t know her.. I don’t know what her intentions are, if she has a RBF or if she’s just really bad at hiding her distaste of others. But whatever it is, she has to do some serious damage control and fix it. Kpop stans in general are very harsh and she’s too young (yes, being 17 is still young). And it’s also a good thing to fix as you grow older and face older superiors, potential friends, etc..People love to boast about how they wished to have an RBF because they think it’s a badass, sexy trait or something (??) but it’s truly a curse. People will always find you unapproachable or think u have hidden agendas. I really want her to be known for her talents, not just for being known as the “pretty girl who’s *allegedly a bully”..

Those two seem a LOT more mature than people their own age and they work well together too, I saw backstage clips and they both know exactly what to do, they were teaching the other Ive members. Hold up… I just found this out not 2 seconds ago. It literally says in the rules that one cannot deliberately impede or push another competitor with any part of his/her body. I’m massively confused (btw I’m Chinese but I don’t necessarily know too much about this situation) Edit: I rewatched the whole video again, and it seems like Sandor had already made a penalty while crossing lanes (which means that he would get DQ’ed either way) and then again, when Ren was passing Sandor, Sandor was the first to shove Ren. This is probably why the judges decided to disqualify the Hungarian speed skater. (Again, I’m not very clear on this situation either but if you want to read the article, it’s on gold digest where they break down the whole situation.)

As for the Hungarian netizens, we don't know why the Hungarian player's got disqualified. The player, Shaolin Sándor Liu did anticipate this Olympics with his brother, Shaoang Liu. Especially, beacuse the brothers has chinese heritage by their father. I don't wish to start a drama. I just wanted to express that something was very fishy in my opinion. Maybe both opponent did something that was not okay, but yk, if both opponent's disqualified, that could have been more fairer that this. Hungary, as far as i know, won't investigate the situation (I dont know the reasons). As for the Hungarian players, thery're not mad or angry, more like, deeply dissapointed and has a mature attitude to move on and try again.

In short track relay, you are actually supposed to tap before the red line and the clip pretty much says everything. The Chinese skater who pushed the Hungarian skater eventually got gold while he was supposed to get a penalty because of the contact. No hate to any Chinese skaters but it was really sus when everything went their way in short track. Even the commentators were pretty shocked about Hwang Daeheon's penalty.

It did upset me in the moment as it was such poor sportsmanship and as someone who is in a sport (not a winter sport, but a sport nonetheless), I would NEVER think about jeopardizing someone else, as much as I’d I’ve course want to win. Like.. sure, winning is fun, but is it really fun if you had to cheat? It’s not as satisfying.

This reminds me of a dive podcast of Jin Jin from Astro and Kino from Pentagon with fellow members, Sanha, Wooseok and Rocky. They talked about their idol collaboration stage, and they said they remembered that they all made it clear to each other to not get on anyone's nerves and just stay away from each other because they all know all of them haven't gotten any sleep yet because of the nonstop practicing till morning and all are probably dieting for days to look good for the camera, so they all might be feeling very sensitive at that moment, which they all respected. And they are all still good friends today. We need to understand, idols are like us, they're not different, they're humans too. They can feel these types of emotions like us. And that doesn't warrant anyone's hate and bullying.

All I say is that they probably had feud during the debut. Wonyoung is known to have a RBF, it's not the first time people suspect her from hating another idol and most of the time the argument is her dirty look.

Ok so as a Chinese person I kinda want to clarify somethings. Disclaimer I’m not an expert I just wanna provide some background info. First of all, the whole war of China stealing Korean is just kinda ridiculous in my opinion. Obviously it’s wrong of China to say that kimchi and hanbok is there’s since they have their own food and clothes. But it should be acknowledged that they were neighboring countries in the ancient times so some aspects of culture are similar, such as the clothing. Second, the whole biased judging during the Olympics is not as uncommon as y’all think. The clip in this video does show the Chinese skater pushing the Korean skater and I think it looks deliberate. But Sk skaters had done the same thing so like. Also biased judging happens all the thing so u cannot expect the judges to be completely fair but I do agree if the athletes have violated rules then they should be disqualified/ penalized. Lastly I just wanna say that ppl should be able to support the athlete they want. If the athlete have done something wrong then sure u can inform the person it. Hate comments r too much and whoever sends those are just xssholes with too much free time

As a Hungarian I can tell you that many people were mad about the disqualification bc the reason was that Shaolin's (our player) shoulder were touching with the other player and THAT'S NOT FAIR so it's a joke basically no one understands how this is a reason after he was basically pushed aside

what I'm getting from the Olympics thing, more than idols being human and netizens being overbearing, is the actually insane amount of cheating we've seen in just one competition. if it's all true, I don't think anyone should win this one.

Exactly, look at it, they were all cheating. It should be fair if the Chinese athletes get punish as well, but I guess that is the bias that people talk about. It is like everyone just don’t care, and only count the medal. Too many crazy nationalists people smh. I mean it is fine to love your country, but to inhibit this much hatred must have been miserable.

Ningning is allowed to root for her own country, nobody should get mad at her for embracing her home country. But for ningning to celebrate the win of the team that literally received massive biased judging in order to win first place, broke numerous rules, that’s what upsets ME. I mean the people who were wronged by this biased judging, you’re celebrating a clearly wrongful win. I know it’s her home country, but she should be more considerate about what she says. She doesn’t deserve the hate or to be kicked out the group, that’s extreme and those people who are saying that are making the real point of this issue blow over everyone’s head. Ningning made a mistake, it’s not about her celebrating the win of her home country, that’s okay, but it’s about her celebrating the win of a country that received biased judging and a unfair win. That’s what’s wrong here.
