My grandpa helped built an airstrip in Korea and my dad was stationed there in the late 80s. His plane landed in the same airstrip his dad helped build:) My dad has always said the Korean base was his favorite.

I was stationed in SK for a year in the late 80s and we ate this almost nightly when we were out in the field. We were always stationed with Korean soldiers. The “processed” foods were generally part of our MREs (meals ready to eat). The Spam, was what I always referred to as the “ham slab.” 😂. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. Brings back memories. We all shared whatever we had from our MRE and then we would share supper in the field in our small units. It’s one of my favorite memories of that time.

My hair grew the longest, almost half way down my calves, after I went vegan. Sadly, I was in my 50s/60s as I'd have loved to have had that long hair when younger. But I do put it down to being plant based. I had to cut it as it got so heavy!! 😂

Korean food really is amazing. I'm also trying to eat more food from different places not just pasta that is my favourite thing in the world. But African food is also so good but feels like people don't give it a chance. I have made some Ethiopian food and Ghanaian food that was amazing. There's so much goodness to find in other people's cultures.

I made something similar, a lot of same ingredients for the stew but with curry (and gochujang), lasted for a couple of days and it was really good! I too have a bottomless pit for a stomach (though with age I do find myself eating less) When I was in Grade 10ish we would go to boston pizza and get the nachos (I would get the nachos) and then a full meal...

I’ve tried enoki mushrooms for the first time a couple days ago and my body doesn’t digest them at all! It’s like eating corn 😂 if you didn’t chew enough, they comes out the way you swallowed these mushrooms! I really wanted to love them but that was a first and last for me, never again😂😂😂
