I always get a hotel room with a microwave & mini fridge for 1 or 2 nights, but for longer stays the rooms with mini kitchens are nice . I buy groceries & make my own food.

Hi Rose, I love your videos, by the way! I just wanted to ask if you could please make a video on which instant noodles are vegan (I know they vary depending on where you live etc.). I get really overwhelmed when I go to an Asian grocery store and try to find vegan instant noodles 😅 Maybe a video on a vegan instant noodle haul with some tips? Thanks Rose!

I have always ordered vegan gingered fried beef made of tofu skins, which has an awesome chewy texture. I also loved lemon chick'un with rice noodles and szechuan seared vegetables. Sadly, our local vegan, family run Buddhist restaurant here in Victoria, BC closed its doors on April 30th. I'm a bit bummed out by this, but this will motivate me to keep batch cooking my Korean and Asian fusion stir fries at home, and save even more $$ and is better for my health. Time to go out and harvest some mustard greens from my garden for a new stir fry tonight.

My favourite restaurants in Toronto are "Greens Vegetarian Restaurant" (Giant portions, excellent food, and the only place I've found vegan chicken balls), Saigon Lotus (Vegan Vietnamese restaurant, all of their food is at least 10/10 i can't even pick a fav menu item), and for fine dining "Planta" (10/10 across the menu, plus they have bottomless mimosas for weekend brunch)

Not many vegan options in restaurants where I’m at , so I pack a small container & order a side salad, & side steamed veggies with no butter, or plain baked potato & I add the toppings I brought in a big purse . It varies, some places have more options than others. I look at the menu online in advance.
@Spudley_ann Жыл бұрын
I’m with you.. a mini option for one would be awesome.. like they have pupu platters for animals stuff, do the same for the vegan options haha Build your own or mix and match which ever. Cuz I’m the same. I want different bites I hate only getting one thing. Cuz then it’s like 30-60$ just for 3-4 different options when it can be 30-40$ for a bunch of mini options and can try more things. Would be a great way to showcase food items especially popular ones!

Love your mukbang videos, Rose! Here in New Zealand, GST is normally included on priced items. Some places will say "excludes GST". Our standard GST rate is 15%. Some of us know to add the rate if something says excludes GST but its way more logical to let consumers know exactly what they're paying for and include GST imo.

For the sales tax question. The reason they don't add it to the total is because it makes the amount seem cheaper. you feel like you are paying 14.99 (not 15.74 or 16.94). In my minimal travels I have noticed that a lot of other places you do just pay what's advertised. That along with tipping not being a thing in a lot of countries, it made me question how deceptive purchasing products in north america can be.

Girl when Padmanadi comes to Calgary this year be sure to try their ginger beef! The flavour is great! They do have weird stringy things throughout it but it’s not hair. Lol I’m not sure what it is but I think it’s part of the fruit added or something. Dendeng and their peanut satay are my faves. Dendeng is basically a chewy bit crunchy jerky in a sweet n bit spicy sauce. So good!!! Anyways love quite a few of the things fr them so I’m happy they are expanding to Calgary now :)

Taxes added after the price here in the USA - so if something is $50 - it’s $50 + tax - each state is different - where I’m at it’s 7% state tax - but I’d much rather pay a higher sales tax and have things like healthcare - which around 13% of people in my state do not have…we pay in a lot of other ways. 😢

For delivery it’s sick. You pay for the food, the tax, delivery charges AND tip. No wonder a lot of people don’t tip. Those fees alone would be what to give a tip. Now for delivery fees it’s going upwards of 10$ for some places!!! PLUS TAX! Tf! This is why I buy my own food at the store and cook at home I can make WAY more for the same or less! It’s not even fun anymore. It’s painful. To do much of anything. They are intentionally squeezing us into misery! They have an agenda and more and more people are seeing it clearer and clearer. We have more power than them, if only the masses would wake up and stop being so complacent!
