That bbq looked amazing with the smoking process before the grill. The meat looked very juicy and delicious! Would you say it was better than the Korean bbq here in Toronto? What a fun experience!

It was really good. Better? Tbh, yes I’d say it is a bit better. Especially the variety of side dishes. They had stuff I don’t see here. If you’re ever in Korea, give it a try!

I had never heard of straw smoking either. Interesting that they used that cast iron type grill. Actually I guess that makes sense since the smoking would removed the need for a charcoal grill.

yeah, it was new for me. I wouldn't call it a game changer, the flavour was more a hint of straw, might have even been more about just imparting a fragrance, as opposed to a signature flavour, but it was a "oh, neat" type experience. There is a more famous place that does this similar kind of KBBQ, both Mark Weins and Mickey Chen have featured that one. I guess when I'm making the beaucoup KZbin bucks like them, I'll try that even more expensive place, LOL
