Do good deeds for the sake of Allah. The purpose of oue exietence is ibadah (worshipping Allah). Keep in mind that praying, fasting and doing pilgramige are not the only ways of worship (ibadah). Every single good deed done for the sake of Allah is co sidered ibadah. Even if you feed a homeless animal or give a kind smile to someone on the street. Salam wa3leykoum! The only requirement to become a Muslim is to pronounce the Shahada. There is no need to follow courses or lessons or participate in anything. Whoever told you that to become a Muslim you need to follow a lesson or a course or anything, please make sure you understand what he meant. Maybe he told you to gain knowledge of the religion so you don't take a blind decision and regret it later. Anyway, Allah made it easy to become Muslim by saying only the shahada. Moreover, you could be alone in your room and pronounce the shahada and that would be enough. I hope to have clarified this and made it simpler to understand for anyone who didn't know. But like you said, anyone very new to Islam should have a little bit more knowledge and understanding of the religion first, in fact God himself showed that by sending His messages to the prophet gradually until He says now the deen is complete. It was not a sudden or fast process. Sometimes an individual who has interest to embrace Islam may not have proper access to the basic and should I say start-up knowledge of the religion, maybe the person only knows someone who's a born muslim but unfortunately not too well versed with Islamic teachings to be able to help the new person understand more before having real belief in Allah swt and Quran and the prophet pbuh. Probably that's why in south korea they want to ensure a systematic procedure is in place so that the interested individuals have the proper channel to strengthen their understanding and beliefs, and like he said this is only to formalise the proclamation ie. syahadah but of course the persons can verbalise the syahadah before that by themselves and that already makes them muslims InshaAllah. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 🌺🌺🌺🕋Quran 25:70🕋🌺🌺🌺 As for those who repent, believe, and do good deeds, they are the ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good deeds. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
