Korean Fish Cake Side Dish| 어묵볶음 | Korean Side Dish Recipe (Banchan)

Today we are making my favorite Korean side dish, fish cakes (eomuk bokkeum). This is a classic banchan I would always ask for when I’m eating at a Korean restaurant but can be made with simple ingredients at home.
Ingredients:
400g fish cake
½ 150g onion
5 cloves garlic (10g)
Large green onion (20g)
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1tbsp korean chili flake (gochugaru flakes)
2tbsp honey
½ tbsp sesame oil
Instructions:
Boil your fish cake to remove excess oil. Then cut into bit size pieces.
Cut your garlic, onion, and green onion.
In a hot pan, add about 1 tbsp oil in your pan. Then add onions and stir for about a minute. Then add your fish cake and stir for another minute.
Add soy sauce and oyster sauce and stir for a minute.
Add korean chili flakes, garlic, honey, and sesame oil and stir fry for about 3-5 minutes.
Top with sesame seed (optional) and green onion.
Serve with rice.
