How is this different from just adding the sugar when the coffee is ready? ok.. my bad.. stupid question.. the trick it the espuma! so you need to make it way better than it is in this video. You need to make it really frothy and then you have something special .. got it!

if you are watching this set aside all the extra gadgets and unnecessary steps: just fill the cafetera with water, put your cofee in and put it on the stove, add the sugar on the top part of the cafetera and enjoy when its done
@marcoszambrano7287Ай бұрын
It does look good, but, to my experience, that isn't a proper cafecito cubano. Using preheated water is something I've never seen, the sugar must be mixed with the first few coffee that comes up (you'll never let all the coffee to be ready and then use some for the sugar), lastly, the coffee isn't strong enough. I bet it taste good, but that is far from being a coladita cubana.

Great video. The espumita is a Miami Cuban custom. The first thing a kid learns to put on a stove is a moka and make espumita. Cuban coffee is actually stronger than Italian espresso. In Italy I always order it forte so it could be like the Cuban.

Korean bowl, not chinese clay pot. Egg yoke is not supposed to be fully cooked. Supposed to runny like fried egg. Also you don't put meats in pot until rice is boiling and some water has soaked in the rice. It looks too damp and not dry. Yikes!! B- grade.

I do not know about Cuban Coffee but I grew up with a friend who's parents, uncles and grandparents were all born and grew up in Italy before emigrating here in the late 60s. His grandfather, father and uncles introduced me to moka pot espresso (yes, it is espresso regardless of all of the so-called coffee experts, trendoids and self-proclaimed moka pot innovators) and the two things they never told me to do and never ever did when they first started including my friend and I in their afternoon espressos and cigars. NEVER put hot water in the resevoir and NEVER heat the pot on high. Room temperature water (filtered or bottled to ensure as little microscopic crap that could damage the pot over the long haul and make the espresso not taste as good) and heating on low ensures the best taste. The whole idea of espresso is to sit, relax and enjoy. Peferably outside in the sun, alone or with friends and definitely without any techology nearby with the exception of a source of music to enjoy the moment. The same goes for Turkish coffee. This I know as I had the good fortune to work with an emigre from Turkey who kindly introduced me to the proper way to make Turkish coffee.
