This video explains touching any of the "unintended" dice is a fail...so that is why when the actors would roll the first round it was all spread out I was like...why wouldn't you just leave them all closer together...When you see this played fast it is confusing as hell. I was so compelled to watch this scene in Squid Game 2 several times and figure it out on my own, which I finally did: Roll 1: pick up 1, toss then pick up 1 by 1 tossing between Roll 2: pick up 1-toss-2-toss-2 Roll 3: pick up 1-toss-3-toss-1 "Roll" 4: toss-drop 4-toss-pick up 4 "Roll" 5: all 5 from palm to back of hand Finale: Toss and catch and score what you catch only (i thought you had to catch them all but this is the only step that doesn't have to be perfect IRL I suppose? in the show it did)

I think you aren’t allowed to catch with your palms facing upwards or to the sides. Her hands are in a “square”, scoop-like shape and is scooping downward and toward herself (like an excavator machine). So you keep your fingers together and the angle of your hand parallel with the ground.

This is so great! I used to play this as a kid. I seem to remember some extra "rules", maybe for more advanced play. Something about not being able to take one of the pieces from in the middle of two others? Not throwing a piece higher than a specific height, not being able to "stamp" down the pieces on the 4th round...something about catching them on the 5th round. We have similar game in Kazakhstan. It is called "bes tas" - 5 stones. But we have 13 rounds. At the end if you catch 5 stones it is 50 points. And you play that game until someone gets 100 points
