Sometimes its hard to find 'pretty' clothes that are modest or feel 'beautiful' because of the western Eurocentric beauty standards but its definitely possible! when I was young I also found it hard but you are beautiful in your own way

That doesn’t even add in the themes. One of mine was 20’s cigar shop. We had flapper dresses and everything. One girl in my class had one of those faces that went with every color. And she knew it. Died her hair every other month. Professionally of course. She is of course model tall and still wore heels. She had a flamingo pink flapper dress with matching hair. Her date had a matching tux. The sad thing is they made it look good. My date on the other hand ran around popping the balloons with a burning shishkabob stick. I sat back and enjoyed the fruit and chocolate fountain and music. At least my date didn’t smuggle in a book or his game boy. Lol, his mom patted him down. High school drama does not end at the door people. For some people teachers and parents only reign in the chaos. Enjoy the peace while you can.

Aww this brought back memories for me from when I went to prom in 2010. I was the only one that didn't wear a princess floor length prom dress. I wore a black and white sweetheart A line baby doll tulle mini dress ($25) with black tights ($3) with shiny black heels ($20). My hairstyle was pretty simple, too: low bun with side swept bangs done by my best friend. Out of 535 classmates, I was the only one who bought her own dress and the only one that spent less $50 for prom. I felt so proud and my best friend was my date. He was single, I was single. We didn't get to go with the person we wanted, so we went with each other instead.
