definitely. my boyfriend is Taiwanese and i always have a big fear that his parents don’t like me. i get that Jin thought it was a funny prank, but being in a similar situation as Hattie i just felt so bad for her watching that. it was hard to watch without thinking of my situation too

I honestly felt bad for Hattie because I understand how she felt. As the only “odd one out” in the family, not being fluent in their language makes you feel like you are not good enough and constantly assuring yourself that you might misinterpret wrongly what they said so not to worry about it.
