Ah, she didn't say the cool story behind the eagle fighting the snake on top of a cactuc. Apparently the mexicas were looking for a place to settle down and they saw the eagle figuring and decided that was the spot. It was in the middle of an island with no fertile soil, and tons of snakes. So they ate the snakes and created instrastucture like floating islands to harvest food. But yeah, it was the worst place to settle and they managed to make it their home. Then the Spanish came and decided to put a city on top. That's why Mexico city has so many problems. The mexicas adapted to the place, whereas the Spanish tried to force nature to make it a city. So yeah, now it's a constant battle with nature.

But our ancestors didnt just happened to spot it and figured it would be a cool place to settle. History has it that the eagle represents Huitzilopochtli (god of war) so when they found an eagle eating a snake above the cactus (nopal), they took it as a signal from the gods, and that the gods themselves were giving them theri blessing to settle there and raise a city (which ended being one of the most important cities back then and the biggest too). The eagle on the mexican flag has more than one meaning tho

The obleas, before they used to have a thick wafer, but now the wafer became a thin piece of paper like. And it you get the cajeta taste so strongly. When it had the wafer years ago, it balanced out nicely. When we go to Mexico, we buy those little candy varieties packets at the candy markets, and give them as gifts. Some come with a little tortilla press and some with a somprero, or a molcajete (mortar). This was so cute, their whole interaction was adorable. "It's a cultural thing" he was so shy It's adorable. "No esta picosa." If it's salsa, it's supposed to be spicy, at least for me. My mom often asks me, "como te saba la salsa?"(how does the salsa taste) and if I tell her that it's not spicy she's all saying how it smelled so spicy and how many peppers she put in.

We have a running joke in my family that the homeless dogs of the neighborhood would talk to each other and tell them we would adopt them in our house cuz we got so many homeless dogs come to our house and we would get them adopted, it stoped happening now but all of our pets have been rescued, my oldest male cat Oliver was a kitten I found on my school and my mom didn’t want to have anything with it (me and my sister had a thing of bringing animals home to) but since nobody could take the bby I decided to take him with me, poor guy had to stay most of the month on the bathroom cuz he had diarrhea until my mom said he was staying 😂😂😂, later we found out his stomach is just sensitive to foods and absolutely hated wiskas, now we have to be carefull with what he eats cuz he is really picky ( and kinda dumb cuz he likes dog food and that makes him get diarrhea easily😂😂😂)

El sistena tradicionalmente usado en Korea para calcular la edad es diferente. Al momento del nacimiento el bebe tiene un año de edad (ellos cuentan el periodo de gestacion ). Ademas, todos ganan un año de edad el dia de año nuevo, sin importar la fecha de su cumpleaños. Es normal que un koreano y un extranjero nacidos en el mismo año tengan hasta 2 años de diferencia de acuerdo a este sistema, por lo que es comun aclarar cuando les preguntas su edad si quieres saber su "korean age" o "international age".
