A good tip that I remember reading was to listen to all the previous audio tracks for past papers over and over again at up to 1.5x regular speed. If you do this and get used to it the actual audio for the test will seem slower and easier to grasp.

This reminds me a lot of my TOPIK 2 in 2019. I was so scared and nervous and triple checked if I wrote my number correctly. And I also struggled with the time during the writing part even though it was a rather simple topic. And the vocabulary during the end of the listening and reading part was too specific. But I am glad I passed 5급! :D

Lindie Im going to give you a big tip for the reading, especially because you said you had enough time but struggled with the last questions. Generally the topik exams have around an equal percentage of correct answers for each number (1 2 3 4 etc). So count up the numbers of answers you had for each question and then you can see what the most likely answer number for the last hard questions would be and pick the likely one. I did this and I got 98/100 for reading!

I've literally bailed on not one, but two TOPIK 2's that I registered and paid for, solely because I was woefully unprepared for the writing section. The thought of sitting there going あ゙あ゙あ゙あ゙あ゙ and not being able to write anything, at the time felt like it would have done more damage to my study motivation than the test itself was worth. On the good side, I guess I'm pretty clear on where I need to focus!

Hi Lindie, I just took the 70 TOPIK 2 as u did. Even the exam invigilator told us that the test was quite challenged. This was my first time, too. I have learned for 9 months. However I thought u could achieve level 5 easily and in the meanwhile, I aimed for level 4 :p good luck

So you've been learning Korean for 9 months? How good are you,in the sense that can you listen to Korean conversation n understand whats going on?
@green_naruto144 жыл бұрын
@@LilyOfTheValley-l8w Hi Wakio, shame on me, I can barely understand anything if I have no idea about the dialogue's context, evenwhen I have the context, I could understand ~50% the content depends on the difficult (term or slang,etc or not) . The reason is I spent too little time on listening. If you aim for Topik II level 5,6 or have confidence in making conversation, the only way is immersion and practice.

@green_naruto144 жыл бұрын
@@LilyOfTheValley-l8w oh, it'll be possible if you put your heart in it. I believe if you start with basic conversation ( i.e: Naver has the Today's conversation), learn them by heart (not only memorize but also speak out loud), you will improve your ability to hear and make the similar dialogue. And it would be more helpful if you have teacher or Korean friend who could help you to speak more naturally. To be honest, chose this language was my mistake, lmao :v my company setup this course so we would have a chance to onsite at Korea.
