Thank you for the super easy to follow recipe! One question though, are you letting the rice flour dough rest before rolling it into tteokbokki pieces? Or am i okay to just go right into steaming?

You can do it right away, no need to rest the dough. But you can test the dough if you want. Not an issue

Tip: if u guys want taste in the rice cylinders then add salt with a bit of miso paste while while making the rice cylinders

When you did that one extra step before preparing dough and said it will make the rice cakes extra soft - did you mean just soft or soft and chewy. If no, than how to make it more chewy?

I made this today and it was my worst experience because she uses normal rice flour but in real authentic teokbokki they use glutinous rice flour because of that the rice cake become stiff and hard there is nothing like chewy consistency kindly please don’t make rice cakes like she told otherwise maybe you too suffer like me😢 NOTE- No hate to the page owner it’s just for full information of people who tried her recipe

Thaaaaanks ! Saved :) Can you also show us how to make Kerala's and Tamil Nadu"s famous 'idiyappam' please as its process is also similar and that's also made with rice flour and ultimately steaming it. Although we have other channels who have shared the recipe (that's how I know how it's made ... but since you simplify things a lot and give us alternatives too, whether in ingredients or for the process of cooking), I wish to see a recipe from you please ... that is, of course, ifffff you can :) P.S : Although not related to this channel but I'd like to add a request regarding your HMM channel too here please - which is - I miss your regular masti wale vlogs with your family with a little bit of cooking as you used to do earlier on the HMM channel. Please do those also although the breakfast vlogs are helpful too but those used to be very cute and fun to watch. Please continue doing those also. Just a humble request.

You need special flour to make. Available on Amazon. I tried with rice flour it is not good.

fr, honestly speaking korean food is a nah for indian taste buds, we are used to eat spicy things and sweet things separately, we don’t mix both of them, that’s why most of korean food tastes bad to us.

​@@ily8skzzumm... We do mix spicy and sweet things in Indian cuisine: panipuri, bhelpuri and chaat being the prime example. There are several curry based dishes from the east that focus on the 'khatra meetha' taste whereas in the South you'll find recipes with soury and salty taste. But, you see Korean food is not really 'spicy' and has greater focus on peppers and heat inducing stuff with frequent usage of condiments like gochugaru, gochujang, bean pastes, etc and whole green chilli peppers. Their cuisine don't use the base building spices like cumin, coriander, fennel, etc that's why their food tastes pretty bland to us. Although, some of the dishes that I enjoyed eating and tried making is pajeon which is a green onion pancake, bibimbap (I added some spices tho) and kimbap. :)
