I am seriously appreciating Harvey’s attitude. Don’t get me wrong, everybody is doing amazing enduring the mental and physical toll; every one has the right to feel distressed, annoyed, and resistant to all of this cause it’s genuinely challenging. But Harvey just looks like he’s taking it in stride by staying resilient and appreciative of those around him. It really gives respect to not just his fellow recruits but all Korean men who bear this responsibility

I don't usually comment but the boy who was helping the English boys trabslate really touched me. Coming from an immigrant family, I am so used to translating things for my family and still inevitably get mad and annoyed. (Maybe I'm just impatient, felt like you're always doing a double job) But he remained very calm the entire time and gave encouragement to the boys. During the song singing session, maybe it's just the mic or what. I felt like he was giving it his all because his teammates weren't able to sing the song and he's trying to use his voice to make up for it.
@Garnishes6 ай бұрын
i noticed it too.. when they had to sing Anchor, it felt like he sang twice as loud to make up for the rest of his squad since the British guys don’t know the song. I felt really touched by him. I loved that Harvey told him “u’re a great leader”at mealtime. Harvey always expresses his appreciation which I find so wonderful as well.

And I get what u mean, i guess the translator recruit is a Korean who either learnt english alot on his own beyond the classes in korea (and got very high TOEFL scores) or lived overseas before etc and is tasked to translate for this. Arman? Then I can guarantee that he won't laugh at all whole time. We are facing freaking N.Korea on our border line, and we shouldn't make them just chill during the service. We need that scariness, and fear in the armed forces definitely. Am I conservative? No, I'm right in the middle (moderate), and I believe in yin and yang (everything should be balanced in right times). But the fear, discipline, and seniority are required in the armed forces imo.

I kinda feel bad for Armand. I know that he's not smiling just to make fun of the situation. It's the nerves. And that's just how he copes up with it. I'm the same. Others might think that he's not taking it seriously but you'll see that he gets really quiet at times. The smiling is just his way to ease the nerves. I also love Harvey's attitude here. Also the translator leader? Deym! Props to the man!

I feel really bad for Armand, but at the same time I think he's psychologically the weakest. That's not necessarily a bad thing, its just that in this kind of situation and setting, he's gonna snap. I mean, we've already seen him snap at Max twice and that was just from the nerves and anxiety. What's gonna happen when he's at his physical and mental breaking point? I really don't want to see him get yelled at by the DI or worse start fighting with his friends and the KE team

I don’t think many realize that not understanding the Korean around them immensely adds to the mental toll. Not knowing the reprimanding, the instructions, the commands, the call and response protocol.
