For the sisig, you need to mix them while it is hot so the egg will be cooked then squeeze it with calamansi, sprinkle some soy sauce and add hot sauce. Best paired with San Miguel beer and rice too. Thanks for trying our food. You can also try Bulalo (Korean version of Galbitang).

Filipinos normally eat the meat together with the rice. It’s unfortunate that the sisig wasn’t mixed before it was eaten to have the full taste of the dish. We always order sisig now when we go to any Philippine restaurant if they have it since we tried it. It’s soooo gooood!

There are many variations of sisig nowadays. Authentic Kapampangan sisig from the province of Pampanga in Luzon is serve without egg and mayonaise. This version is nearest to a dish called "dinakdakan". Also kangkong is called water spinach if I am not mistaken. That green thing in the pancit canton is called "string beans"

Try filipino rice cakes when you visit Philippines. 1) Putobumbong - purple rice cake commonly topped with coconut shreds, brown sugar, butter/margarine and condensed milk. Its best eaten with hot beverage like tea or chocolate 2) Pichi pichi - topped with either shredded cheese or coconut shreds 3) Bibingka - almost a pastry like texture with cheese and red salted egg slices. 4) Sapin sapin - sticky chewy that is commonly seen purple, white and yellow colored rice cake. Its sweet in nature can be eaten without any toppings but better with cooked coconut shreds (latik)

The PH has so many varieties of delicious food/dishes, and one of them is the so called sising. 6:42 - its best to eat the Sisig first, as long as it is still hot, and to mix the egg with the other ingredients, not seperate.. And its the best "drunk food" - always with some beer or after some beer ;) also, flavours are often quite bold, but thats only because dishes are eaten with a lot of rice.. Without the rice, it might be to bold, depending on how cooked it.

the sisig is a modified version of the original sisig which does not have and egg and mayonnaise. some people added pigs brains on top of sisig but it was too fatty and lots of cholesterol so somebody replaced it with and egg and some used mayonnaise. the original version without mayonnaise and egg is a lot better for most people since its made of pork face, ears, chicken livers, pork belly, onions, red chilies, fish sauce, kalamansi (philippine lemon/lime), vinegar and black pepper. try sisig next time without egg and mayonnaise and ask if they put chicken liver and pork belly. hope this helps.
