Pure nostalgia. Had an 01/W FD about 30 years ago. Truly amazed that once we used to edit and create work on these. A bit like papering the walls through a letterbox by today's standards.

Anyway, I am impressed with Korg's ability to create an interface, which was convenient (for the time). That's indeed an engineering masterpiece!

Hold down the shift key while simultaneously depressing middle C, then enter the hex code BA DA DA DA using the keys just above middle C. Then select the desired option on the display by depressing the foot pedal, the shift key and the corresponding key on the keyboard. It's that easy!

Hey all you Korg owners I have this workstation but if I play it too hard, my sound cuts out. I thought it might be the power cord, but that's right. The LCD display does not flicker or cut off. Have put this comment out to techs but received no reply yet. Have taken my bottom cover off, but all connections seem tight. Any ideas? My main board in my gig setup. Thanks!

You have to upload pre-load data via floppy or MIDI. There are plenty of this pre-load sysex'es around the Internet. I guess even official Korg website provides it among with the docs.

Thank you for the offer, but I guess I don't deserve it. I'd be happy with mainboard or other pcbs, as I am going to experiment with the hardware, not playing on it. 01/W is a great synth, though. I own X3, and it is stripped version of 01/W: the display and the keybed are worse, and that waveshaping FX is missing.
