I am selling off my two Motifs to down size to this and perhaps a Yamaha MOF8. These new light weight keyboards are amazing. Weighted keys and still under 30 pounds. Yes the Motifs will out perform the Kross and the MOF8, but for live performance touring bands, the weight savings is worth the trade off. In a live club performance not too many people would ever know the difference. I am tired of being down in the back for a week moving the heavier boards when this board sounds so good, is easy to perform with, and is light weight to move. So far I love my Korg Kross.

Amen! I did the same years ago, sold motif original, god the mox8 and sound modules and light weight controllers. I got the Kross a few years back and deceptively feels like a toy but excellent sound and controls are easy to use.

Agreed... My first synth was an Ensoniq SQ2.. I had to play/perform every part into the sequencer for tracks to form into a song.... No such short cuts as VST or loops to drag & drop... I wonder how many DAW user actually tried to record / perform on a hardware synth alone..... ???

Don't worry - people who says that VST is much better than hardware usually making some electronic techno like bits on their computers and never try to create actual music.

Question.? When your playing any sound, and you hit the sustain pedal the sound rings and then change patches, that sound still sustaining. So whatever you having playing and you hit the sustain pedal, it will sustain the previous patch while you go to the new patch. is there a program like that of korg kross.?

Hey guys urgent please... Can someone explain to me how to use a controller as second keyboard via midi with the Korg Kross.? Need to get this do for a show i have this weekend. the sec Keys need to have a independent tone from the kross. eg. the kross have piano and the sec keys/controller have a brass.

can split the KROSS in 3 diferent sounds?(bass, piano and trumpet for example) if i cant do that in the keyboard, can i do it with the computer software and load it with de SD card? thanks so much! it seems to be an amazing keyboard

Is there another way to store combi patches you create, other than in the Favorites bank. I think I need to create more than 64 patches for a show I am programming.

You can store 127 user created Combinations in the COMBI bank AND 127 patches in the PROG user bank. Any of those can be assigned to a favorites button but don't have to be.

I don't believe it. A month ago, I told you that the captions of all your Kross videos begin with the words "of shit". Dear visitor, start the video and activate the close captions. You know, a month ago I thought it was funny, well, it can happen. But you, Korg, obvioulsy don't care. You start the close captions, which are important to potential customers with weak sight, who use a screenreader software, with the words "of shit". You really should have a serious talk with your online-managers. And don't make me post that on your fb-site!

+Ace That is not true. To subtitle your video on YT, you can either choose the auto-generating option, which is the laziest option and almost always results in crap like this. Or you can choose to upload a textfile, which contains the proper text. I've done that for my own videos many times, I know how it works. What baffles me is that Korg rather keeps on going to say "of shit" in their closed captions than to A) deactivate the captions or B) pay some guy just to write down what is said in the video and upload this as proper captions.

Good video, but it is frustrating that he always chose the most boring instruments like piano, guitar .. and never synths. The demonstrations would have been much better if he was showing how all those functions work on synths, synth bass, synth brass sounds (espacially arpeggios)

Oh Please.... the KROSS is meant for people with tight budget to buy a synth like a student so on....its totally silly to compare this synth against VST....
