Some suggestions. Some of the sound sets are unnecessary, e.g. bass, sfx and drums kit soundset. You only need one or two as example, users can use it as template to create the rest. Many of the performance sound set 1-4 of each style are great and should be part of the 200 sound sets. When you try to review the soundset effects, Korg just shows them as default. I prefer to see the actual effect names for that soundset, so I can learn to recreate those soundset for other styles. Also there is no clear documentation on the effects, how are they wired and setup for the tones? Chord mode function should allow user to create their own chords. For the sequencer , if I change the sound and volume mix of a recorded sequence, how do I save the changes since I am not really overwrite/overdub anything?

Great keyboard. Only thing I can think of that's lacking is that they needed to put in a faster way to get to sounds and styles. A simple number pad would have been perfect.

Is there an easy way to play a short wav/mp3 ,e.g Drum Loop or Bass Line from construction kit file as a loop. If I use the Korg i3 Seq player, it is almost impossible to press AB button to set the start and end of such a short file. May I suggest Korg update the firmware so user can press Shift-Play button to activate loop play. or try the Yamaha PSR E 473 arranger approach - if you press AB button first, then press play on a wav/MP3 file, it will play it entirely then loop.

This is what I'm searching right now, I have the i3 for 3 years now, but as I have other software, DAWs, and Maschine Mk3, I haven't experimented much with my Korg, but i want to get to grips with the thing now

when other keyboard just need one finger, this i3 mostly need 2 tap/ finger to access the function, shift+up 1/2/3/ , fill + basic/advanced rythem, this keyboard will get 9 point, if add some dedicated button with extra $100 more. But the sound not bad actually.

I think I3 could use a more organic acoustic piano sound for traditional jazz or CCM worship band. An external app that allows users to buy, trade and swap the internal styles will be great too. Alternately, an external app that lets you mix and match different accompaniment track from different internal styles to create a new one. Internal multitrack recorder is increasingly pointless when smartphone and tablet daw is widely available. I would rather it has a built in looper / chord sequencer instead.

I am considering purchasing this keyboard purely to use the instrument sounds on it. While im performing i will want to be able to jump to a specific sound instantly for example instead of having to manually scroll and navigate to the 68th keyboard sound is there a way to select and store banks of specific sounds and jump to them instantly? Dear Korg, I have an idea to connect korg i3 (ver 2020 , only MIDI OUT) via MIDI with Roland synthesizer (MIDI IN). In this case : (How to configure/menu setup both instruments?) 1.Can i3 (MASTER) play sounds / instruments from Roland’s (SLAVE)? 2.Can Roland play/use sounds / instruments /styles from i3? 3.Can I apply/add /layer an arpeggiator from Roland to i3 sounds? One last question, how to prepare (for example based on a MIDI file) and next import styles into i3, are they styles compatible / compatible / similar to PAxxx - which of them ? I will be very grateful for some suggestions ..

It seems this is no different to the arranger Keyboards. They have sequencer capabilities and no synthesis and sampling capabilities. The question about what makes this different wasn't answered adequately. What are the actual synthesizer/workstation features? We can see what makes it an arranger.

Are the styles, intros and endings copyrighted by Korg? -- Are you free to use them without permission, credits or royalties? Example...Say you want to compose an original song or arrangement and use these features, can you be sued if the song gets picked up and/or played in public? Not just Korg but other arrangers as well from other manufacturers...I've always wondered about that.

in 31:09 , it's mostly happened, when user change to style set 3, the lower button didn't function, why korg not make same setting on style set 1-4 or just make different upper voice, because i think for arranger keyboard, 4 voice sound is enough. And please update firmware to avoid "SHIFT" button to every access upper1-3/lower, style property, etc. KORG, please make simpel this keyboard . Be Intuitif please , this will be Pop Corn Product thanks

look - I would have had many questions about KORG KROME. It must have been produced by complete nuts! You set 3/4 measure on the sequencer, but if you stop playing track 1 and go go to track 2 or 3 ... the KROME will stubbornly jump to 4/4 in the middle of your recording! There are hundreds more idiocy related problems. They used computer programmers, not musicians. Sad, very sad, I should have never bought KORG again. I had a ROLAND.
