This and part one are really valuable, even for someone who has had an XD for quite a while. I'm discovering some new things, rediscovering things I haven't been using, and getting a better understanding of what is happening inside. One thing you could have covered in the Motion Mode section is recording motions without anything in the Sequencer. Just record a rest in every step. Then record the motion as you normally would -- but don't play any keys or else those notes will be recorded. Play the silent Sequencer and then start playing the keyboard. That can then add motion to whatever you play live. A great simplifier for someone like me who is always tweaking while I play.

Thanks James.... Oh, jajaja, forgot to mention it. You know when you try to cover everything, there is always a couple of things you forget. Always. Thanks for the comment

What the sequencer lacks is the option (something Monotribe used to have) to turn on all active steps and maybe also restart the sequence so you can mess around with turning off of the steps and revert everything back in one move.

YO TODAVIA NO ENTIENDO COMO NO TIENE LA OPCION DE QUE CUANDO CAMBIO DE PROGRAMA SE REINICIE LA SECUENCIA PARA QUE MANTENGA EL COMPAS COMO CORRESPONDE, ESTOY FASTIDIADO CON MIS LIVE SETS, CUANDO CAMBIO EL PROGRAMA SI QUIERO UTILIZAR UNA SECUENCIA DE 5 PASOS ES IMPOSIBLE CAMBIAR A UNA DE 16 PASOS Y QUE ARRANQUE EN EL INICIO MANTENIENDO EL COMPAS DE LA CANCION, SI PUDISTE RESOLVER ESO AGRADECERIA MUCHISIMO QUE ME AYUDES!

Please help! I am trying to use the minilogue xd sequencer with Logic Pro Live Loops and I cannot get the MIDI to synch with logic’ Live Loops. The tempo is linked correctly, but the sequencer doesn’t synch with the beats correctly. Any ideas? Thanks so much for this great resource!
@Amatteus Жыл бұрын
When you hear one of the patterns of the sequencer, that comes with the machine. on every Patch... How do you know exactly how this sequence was done?. Can you save that sequence to play on another patch?. Because as soon as you change the patch the sequence dissapears.

Is it possible to record 16 bars of music that are not in steps. If I just wanted to loop notes that sustained longer or over 3-4 steps - would the sequencer still break the sustained notes into steps? Another example is if I just held an F chord for 16 bars sustained - could I just have that recorded or would it try to break it up into steps?
@XNBeatsMusic2 жыл бұрын
Hello. Yes, it will break into steps. But, if you make the SEQ gate 100% ( just in case, and works for arps ) and you tie notes you can "cheat" the sequencer in playing a chord for 16 steps. Also check the SEQ resolution. If you go down in SEQ resolution, each step will be really long. So it will sound like is a long sequence.

They are really different. I've got the three, they are different. They all give you something what other one cannot give you.... so it depends on what you prefer.

This is a Masterpiece Tutorial together with both Parts of the Minilogue Xd. But I have only one question. Is is possible to start the minilogue sequencer in sync if I push the ableton record button, so that the minilogue seq play together with my track. I see the message external clock in the mini display but it starts not directly with the recording and if I start by myself it's confused. This is only one problem for me with the synth. Do you have a solution for me. It would be great.

is it possible to delete the last recorded notes without deleting the sequence? I have a sequence playing and I play another melody with it.. sometimes I don't like what happened during the recording and I want to play the melody again..

Anyone knows how to edit a step/note on xD module ? If I hold the step and turn the switch into keyboard mode and play a note and return it just mute's the step... Do I need an external midi keyboard or is there any other workaround ?
